Wicked Little Things

in

Lapped a major milestone with Fantasy Craft today so I celebrated tonight by watching a little of the stuff that's racked up on my TiVo. Of note, I caught a flick I'd recorded a while back called Wicked Little Things. Strong effects, workable story, effective cinematography and lighting, Ben Cross, and some creepy, creepy kids. Great fun for anyone who liked, say, Children of the Corn, and highly recommended for mid-range horror buffs.

Steven Colbert is a Genius

Normally I keep my politics to my own blogspace, but this is the sharpest, most clever little spoof of the campaign season, and I'll be damned if I don't share it. Enjoy!

"Remember, when you vote for a candidate, you're actually voting for every stance they've ever held. So slow down Ashley - you've just met this guy. Don't so something you'll regret....FOREVER."

Jericho is BACK, baby!

in

The long wait is finally over - my favorite new show from the 2006-2007 season returns tonight on CBS! Huzzah!

Despite the fact that I woke up feeling like the Sandman had curb-stopped me over a steel sander, I am in good spirits. Long Live Jericho! (or, you know, let all seven of the new episodes be good and actually make it over the airwaves - I'll take that, too)

Well Wonders Never [BLEEP]ing Cease!

Sarah Silverman actually managed to find the funny...

I'm not a big Silverman fan. I think her show is unintelligible and most of her humor is too potty. Give the Jew Girl Toys is inspired, though, and this is certainly in the same vein. Bravo!

"Now It's Time for Payback"

They really need to release the full series on DVD. If I can get excited about geriatric Head pimping trivial technological upgrades, then I'm clearly still jazzed to see the ol' boy in action.

(Yes, I could have gone with geriatric Max, but it's not as funny.)
