Pat's Jukebox: Music to Torch Villages By

Deep in a Top Secret section of Fantasy Craft this weekend - something we haven't mentioned yet but will really soon - and I decided to test drive some new bands - new to me, anyway - to tickle the neurons. My favorites so far are Bérurier Noir, a French punk band that does a great impression of a drunken one-man pub brawl at open mic night...

Be sure to stick around for the bagpipes at the end. They really bring the whole sound home.

Pat's Holiday Jukebox

You might assume I'm listening to something Christmas-y. You'd be wrong. :)

I recently discovered another band that's been around ages and yet escaped my notice before...

That's not an official video, but rather a fan vid using one of the band's songs to back Silent Hill movie footage. I ain't gonna complain, though. I really dug that movie.

Coolest. Christmas. Present. Ever.

Today on Pat's Jukebox

David Lynch Is Directing My Life!

So I walked into the front office at work today and stumbled into the following scene...

Supply Officer to Front Office Girl: "They use ethanol gas for that."

Front Office Girl to me: "Have you seen Dennis the Menace?"

Me to Front Office Girl: "The cartoon?"

Front Office Girl to me: "No, the movie."

Me to Front Office Girl: "Sorry, not part of the target demo."

Seriously, that's exactly how it went. I still have no idea what the hell they were discussing before I arrived.

Blu-Ray Format Finds New Life
I'm morbidly curious - pardon the pun - in this "Powertool Massacre." :-P
Seriously, though, it's interesting to watch this latest iteration of the format war play out. For one thing, I wasn't aware that Blu-Ray had had shunned the U.S. porn industry due to pressure from Disney. It's perfectly plausible, I just didn't put it together. And the fact that Japan gets its porn discs from Taiwan is a riot!
