Getting Crafty - Where to Start?

Crafty Games produces high-quality, award-winning adventure gaming products using the Open Gaming License (OGL), both in print and digital (PDF) format. Currently, our games feature three different systems.

Mastercraft

Mastercraft

Mastercraft is our newest and most streamlined system. It marries Spycraft 2.0’s potent character growth and top-to-bottom customization with Classic Spycraft’s simplicity and ease of play, but strips away the espionage flavor, making it the ultimate core rules set. Crafty Games will release combination genre toolkit and setting books in many genres, all of which will be 100% compatible, so you can run the ones you want out of the box or mix and match components to taste.

The first Mastercraft product, Fantasy Craft, is out now in PDF and due imminently in print. Ten Thousand Bullets, the modern crime noir genre toolkit, will hit PDF and B&M stores in 2010.

Spycraft 2.0

Spycraft

The second edition of the world’s most popular espionage RPG takes everything that made Classic Spycraft such a success — character classes with something new at every level, powerful feats, a robust skill system, action dice that put you in control of the action, high-flying cinematic combat — and adds dramatic conflicts to speed up and simplify complex scenes, rapid-build NPCs that scale to any level of play, streamlined gear, and rules and advice for playing a fully customized game in any modern genre.

Spycraft 2.0 is available in print (in hardcover and softcover “pocket” editions) as well as PDF, and is supported with over 25 PDF products and 2 print-only collections of digital products (Shadow Play and Odd Jobs). The official Spycraft 2.0 setting, World on Fire, turns up the heat, driving the heroes underground in a world torn apart by terrorism. Check our catalog for more details.

Classic Spycraft

Classic Spycraft

This is where it all began — the first modern d20 game on the market, Classic Spycraft took the gaming world by storm in 2002 with its innovative mechanics, cinematic style, and classic espionage flavor. Though this line went out of print when Spycraft 2.0 was released, we offer the entire line of products in PDF, including the core “silver” books and the official campaign setting, Shadowforce Archer.
