On extended work/writing jags like the one I'm in now, I tend to keep a browser window or two open in the background, surfing through sites I've bookmarked here and there, looking for new music to tickle new or crusty parts of the grey matter. You may have heard me rave about Within Temptation, a band I stumbled over a few months ago. Well, I've found another one I groove to almost as much: a synthpop masterwork named Agnes Poetry. "Upside Down," off their Leave the Lights On release, is outstanding.

Sadly, they seem to have thrown in the towel in 2001, though two-thirds of them appear to have kept going as a new band called Adom 9. Make no mistake - I'll be devouring their stuff next. :)
