GeniTech Industries

GeniTech Industries (GTI)
GeniTech Industries is a multinational corporation with bases of operations in the United States, Costa Rica, Brazil, Australia, Xiang-lang, the United Kingdom, Italy, the Czech Republic, and Russia. Due to a recent fiasco off the coast of Costa Rica, GTI has been officially shut down. However, the CEO of GTI, Harold deLoca, has gone into hiding.

NOTE: The stats below are for post-shutdown GTI. Before the shut down GTI's organizational structure was quite different.

Goals (4): Enlightened Evolution, Greed, Counter, Reconstruction
GTI's primary goal is creating a method of producing super humans. By selling this method at a high price it profits greatly. After being shut down by the TCC, GTI now helps all who oppose the TCC whenever possible, while still making a profit, of course.

History (3): Enemies, Dark Days, Rise From the Ashes
After the Costa Rica Incident, GTI has gone underground, seeking to maintain its operations without drawing further wrath from the TCC.

Image (4): On Record Goals, Renowned Methods, On Record Leaders, Secretive Members, Secretive Sites
The TCC did its best to expose the nefarious doings of the GTI, making it difficult to cover up its methods, but still maintaining a level of secrecy as to who exactly is still employed there.

Sites (2): Cloning Lab, Hospital
What little is left of GTI's once impressive network of labs and hospitals now are scattered across the globe. The few left are the best the company had, however, and are still quite capable of meeting their needs.

Tools (2): E-III, G-III, R-III, S-II, T-III, V-II, W-II
The GTI's public downfall has removed a large chunk of their capital. What little is left is devoted to maintaing its facilites.

Recent Accomplishments: Immediately before the Costa Rica Incident, GTI had succeeded at distilling the second generation super soldier formula from the rogue experiment Alpha Five. Unfortunately, Alpha Five's escape happened at exactly the wrong time, and provided a distraction for the TCC operatives that caused the shut down.

GTI NPCs and Creatures.

Harold deLoca, CEO of GTI
Pableao Jenearo, chief of security for the Costa Rican division. Currently assumed KIA.
Alpha Five, a massive monstrosity developed using two seperate super-soldier serums.
Abominations, hideous mutants caused by early versions of Serum 2.
Sabercats, wild animals patroling the outskirts of GTI territory.
Gen1 Supersoldiers, genetically enhanced troops developed using Serum 1.
Gen2 Supersoldiers, "hunter teams" developed using the superior formula derived from Alpha Five.

Harold deLoca

Harold deLoca is the CEO of GeniTech Industries. After GTI's shut down, Harold managed to escape police capture and go into hiding. It is currently suspected that he is taking refuge in Xiang-lang.

Most of GTI's unscrupulous business practices can be directly blamed on Mr. deLoca. He does not care what methods are used to achieve his goals, as long as he achieves them. Harold personally selected all of his upper management, even security chief Pableao Jenearo. It should be noted that Mr. deLoca refuses to use his super-soldier serum on himself, citing "bad experiences with a former partner."

Xiang-lang

Xiang-lang is a small fictional country in Southeast Asia. It was formed shortly after the Vietnam War, and since that time it has gone from a third world nation to one of the leading edges in technological development. It devotes a significant portion of its national budget to funding independent and corporate scientific research, as long as the fruits of that research are promised to be given back for government use. Many of the groups funded by the Xiang-lang are currently on a TCC watchlist.

Alpha Five is the climax of a series of experiments performed by GeniTech Industries in an attempt to merge two seperate super-soldier serums. Although Alpha Five itself was unstable, serum derived from its blood was quite stable in humans. Alpha Five was experimented upon and contained on an island 10 miles off the coast of Costa Rica. It escaped shortly before a group of TCC operatives infiltrated the installation, providing them with ample distraction. Although it has not been confermed, there are rumors that GTI was performing similar experiments elsewhere (Alpha One through Four, for example, are unaccounted for). Evidence does suggest that the Beta series was cancelled shortly before GTI's shut down, but they may still be implementing it in secret.

Physically, Alpha Five is the size of a small bus, running on four legs but standing on two, akin to a gorrilla. Alpha five has patches of fur that change colors, though any camoflauge that this would provide is negated by Alpha Five's large size. Alpha Five's 'hands' end in large claws about two feet long and as strong as steel. Its jaws resemble a cross between a neanderthal and a sabertoothed tiger.

The two serums that were combined in Alpha Five's creation are different but mutually beneficial. The first, and more well tested, provides its user with stunning grace and speed. The second, and almost untested before Alpha Five, amplified its user's healing ability and the ability to withstand damage. This second formula, being derived from wildlife native to the island, caused severe mutation in humans before the Alpha Five project. These Abominations are not terribly balanced. There is knowledge of at least one test subject that did not develop the mutant claws and fur normally associated with the second formula.

*****
Abominations were created by GeniTech Industries' early attempts to distill a formula for healing and damage resistance from the genes of Sabercats. Abominations show a great variety in mutations, though most have large claws and patches of fur all along the body. Other mutations tend to be gruesomely cosmetic in nature, making the Abominations deeply unsettling to fight. The project that created the abominations ended with the creation of Alpha Five, which merged the Abomination serum with the speed serum. It is unknown weather any Abominations exist in locations other than GTI's private Costa Rican island.

Sabercats
The term Sabercat is the name given by GeniTech Industries to the large predatory cats that inhabit the outer edges of Isla Niebla. Sabercats typically hunt in packs, making them extreamly dangerous to even trained human hunters. The DNA of Sabercats was used in the creation of the second serum, early results of which were disasterous.
