Technology Control Commission
Technology Control Commission (TCC)
The TCC is a government organization designed to stop new and dangerous technologies from falling into the wrong hands. The TCC is kept secret from the public to prevent a massive outcry that would result from the knowledge that the government was interfering with scientific progress, even if its for their own good.
The TCC's primary concern is protecting the American public (and to a lesser extent, the rest of the world). It accomplishes this by destroying any enemy organization that pushes the envelope too far. The TCC is also very concious of its need to remain secret, and will go to great lengths to prevent its existence from becoming known.
The TCC is a brand new organization, having just been created at the turn of the 21st century and the realization that some things require special attention.
Secrecy is paramount to the TCC's continued exitence, and as such it spends a great deal of effort covering up its existance.
The TCC maintains an elaborate database of known threats, and has maintains constant satellite surveilance of its enemies.
Due to the need to maintain secrecy, the TCC's budget is kept small enough to slip in as a line item in the federal budget. As such, the TCC's greatest assets are in the high-tech field, finding it best to fight fire with fire.
Recent Accomplishments
The TCC has recently stopped a multinational corperation known as GeniTech Industries from developing and marketing a super-soldier serum. This serum is known to have been tested on unwilling subjects which were kidnapped from several towns where GTI had bases of operations. This accomplishment may warrent the Victory turning point being added to the TCC's history, at the GC's discretion.
