Hi all,

Been pondering this one for a week or so since I saw Inception - do people use a Sports check for skiing? Obviously it's Athletics, but I'm not sure a Sports check fits since it's designed for competitive sports, not necessarily just movement-type activities. I wonder if it needs it's own check similar to the Swimming check. Thoughts?

Okay looking at the sports check description, sports checks require teams so unless this is a competitive skiing match it is not a sports check. I would just do what ever you have to do for a bicycle in game. If its a chase sequence put it into a chase sequence and if its just one of your players fooling around have the Abominable Snowman pop out of no where and eat him. Grin

Use Acrobatics, since Balance falls under that. I'd say Skiing uses a lot of Balance and shifting of one's weight. It is kind of an accelerated foot chase in a way, don't you think?

I believe that's how rollerblades are stated in The Big Score

I'd say Acrobatics for down hill and Athletics for cross country.
