Rootwalkers are the treants from Tolkien then, I guess? Wink

They're treants. We don't create hard divisions between Tolkien and similar fantasy schemes. We figure you'll add a lot of the flavor to your taste, so we design stuff that's hopefully "neutrally cool."

By example, you'll see different kinds of Rootwalkers in our various settings, but they'll all use the same core rules.

Could we get a small hint about the Unborn by way of telling us which setting they primarily belong to?

Unborn will be useful in most settings, actually.

Hmm... Ok, well that tosses out the two thoughts I had if they were from either Swords of the Zodiac or Godspawn.

That leads me to them either being PC level outsider/deiific type thing (a character not of woman born in the supernatural and mythical sense), some form of intelligent golem of either flesh or some other material.

Either that or the result of a cesarean or still birth, but that seems a little too historical and obscure.

Hmm, just to go from the name, my guess on Unborn would be immortals of some variety. The kind that either have always been around or that just kind of "arrived" at some point. Outsiders maybe.

It's in edits, though I've got several rather large projects on my desk just now. Outside some Classic Spycraft PDFs, it should be the next product out. As usual, though, there won't be an ETA until it's very close to release.

My guess for Unbound is someone who has not born yet, meaning something like a person with god-like essence latent...

For my two cents I'm guessing the unborn are, not simply fey but rather the faries of the otherworld, the unseelee court.

Here's a question though, what purpose would there be in getting OOTS Classic Fantasy if you plan on getting Fantasy Craft as a print product? Won't all this info be in the print book as well?

I mean I'm no big heckler of reprinted material but, I would like to know what else I might find in this  particular PDF that I won't already be getting in Fantasy Craft if I decide to buy it.

Though frankly I would probably run a greek fantasy game already if I could get a decent setup for gear going (there is a big lack of it out of the box with only OOTS: Light of Olympus)

Look below:
Quote
Dozens of Species feats allow you to play as distinct sub-races or master the gifts of your people – without having to suffer level penalties or XP restrictions.
• “Legendary” Master Classes allow you to unlock the greatest powers of your race!
• A complete cast of NPCs let you populate your setting quickly and easily.
• New Character Seeds help you get off to a great start!

I don't think that FC will have room for those options.

While they will share some content, Fantasy Craft will not include/require Legendary classes, character seeds, pregen NPCs, or the full range of sub-race feats presented in OotS: Classic Fantasy.

Edit: Aragathor pretty much called it Smiley.
