I'd guess that the mechanical content is all that is OGL, setting material is usually propriety.

That said, if it complete & whole OGL, I'd be interested in a Crafty version.

That sounds more likely to me.

That said, if it complete & whole OGL, I'd be interested in a Crafty version.

As Scott's said, we would probably do our own new setting before working with another company to produce rules for an existing one. Licensing agreements are rough and need to be really worthwhile. When the terms and conditions are right, though, they're awesome.

Troika (the company that had most of the designers of the original Fallout after they left Interplay) used to have a weekly D&D game.

I am sort of looking forward to Fallout 3, but the forums at Bethesda scare me. Sad (Good gravy there are a lot of people who would rather see Fallout go away rather than have someone else do a sequel.)

If the forums at Bethesda scare you, never never go to a forums called No Mutants Allowed. They are an entirely new species of fanboys, so strong in their hate for everything that every other fanboy seems positively mild-mannered in comparison.

Seriously, don't go there. Your brain'll be leaking out through your ears after half a dozen posts, and after a dozen, you'll either be braindead or joined them in their insanity. It's that bad.

By contrast, the Spycraft forums have for 3 iterations, been amongst the most congenial fan-sites I've ever had the pleasure of posting in. Not sure why all the good mojo, but I'm certainly not complaining.

The closest we've ever had to a thunderstorm was when Mister Anderson joined up, and I'd classify that event more as a refreshing and invigorating shower.

Really? It couldn't have been that bad, unless it was behind the scenes stuff. I certainly can't remember anything remotely as bad as on certain other forums... It's "RARGH U SUCK HOPE U DIE!!11!" versus "It's okay I guess, just not my cup of tea." Guess which belong where Wink.

I remember Black Cheese has a rough entry into the forum.  We had never seen that kind of ability to pick apart text, and in our confusion we committed to a vigorous defense.  Cheesy

There was also one guy who refused to back down from his opinion that the Snoop sucked because it was possible that the GM could be a @#$% about Flawless Search.  The rest of us were of the opinion that you don't play in that GM's games, because they were a @#$%.  Wink

Now if Bethesda would bring back Arcanum I would be a happy grump.

I really miss Troika, and wish that they were the ones doing Fallout, but Bethesda is also very good.
