I tried ordering WoF and 2nd Printing at my FLGS, but they said it's not available to order. So I checked Amazon.ch and it lists SP as "not available" and WoF "not released".

Just thought I mention it, since you asked me to report the ordering Experiences I have in Switzerland.

Don't trust Amazon - they're being a bit weird about this book. If your FLGS is checking with Amazon to order, they may want to try Mongoose instead - I hear European orders shipped about 2 weeks ago Smiley

Thanks for the update!

He checked on multiple swiss sites, excluding amazon, and said that they all had confusing infos or none at all. He recommended that I order it directly from Mongoose, which I'll probably do. Just thought I mention it.

[edit]
I found "Spycraft 2.0" on buch.ch, which is one of the sites he checked, but the data is strange:

Published: 05.2007
ISBN-10: 1-905471-89-0
Pages: 496
Publisher: Mongoose Pub

I've heard from one of the mongoose guys that they didn't print enough in the first run to cover all of the pre-orders, I'm still waiting for mine. So any shops which didn't specifically order a batch from mongoose some time ago probably won't be getting any particularly soon.

Our understanding is that Amazon has rather arcane requirements in order to get product listings out or updated, and that Mongoose is doing all they can to resolve that. Unfortunately, there's no hard date set, and probably won't be; the books will just show up eventually. Hopefully sooner than later.

That has nothing to do with your FLGS, though. They're probably ordering through a distributor. Do you have any idea which one? If not, could you ask? It's possible the distributor is for some reason unaware of the new release, which is a situation that needs to be rectified. Smiley

Sorry for taking so long, but I finally found the time to clear this up with my FLGS. We sat together at a computer and found out that he can't order it from his distributor "Pegasus", but the old Spycraft 2.0 from AEG is available from there. We also found out that a company called "Ulisses" is working currently on a translation of Spycraft 2.0 to German. They don't have the English product either though.

I hope that helped and if not, tell me what I or the FLGS owner would have to do, to get Spycraft 2.0 2nd printing to Switzerland.

Interesting. I'm surprised that a) Pegasus doesn't stock the new printing and b) that they have the old one (which is supposed to be discontinued).

Let me fire off some email to Mongoose and see what's what. It's the weekend so it may take a bit to get an answer.

a) Seems like Pegasus doesn't even know about the 2nd printing.

b) He ordered one of those and it's actually the old AEG one (held it in my hand and checked myself), he ordered especially for me and now can't get it off.  *feels bad* So yeah, seems like there's a lot of clearing up to be done with Pegasus, since they seem to have the old one on the site, but with updated dates, that were close to the first pronounced release date of Spycraft 2.0 2nd printing, which is HELL of confusing not only for the FLGS owner, but also for me.

Hey Kage,

Turns out it'll be helpful to know the name of the store. Can you hook us up there?

Thanks!

So, are you communicating directly (as in, over Mongoose etc.) with the FLGS, or will I have to do something?

We speak with Mongoose, who speaks with the distributor, who (hopefully) speaks with the retailer. It's an arcane process but it's the one we've got to work with.

Hopefully it'll go pretty quickly. When we spoke to Mongoose they were already aware of the situation and working on it.

Now that sounds promising, still out of the question that it'll be soon enough to get them before this years ritualistic Spycraft game. Tongue
