For my Park Builder game I keep wondering how to best handle construction as part of the game.

In the game I'm running they'll soon need to make temporary cages and the like for creatures to drag back and there is also the more perminant work on the park itself.

Sounds like Science/Engineering action.  That's the "building stuff" skill check.

I'm more interested in figuring out just how it would connect to building enclosures and designing them.

Ask them how big they want the enclosures to be, check table 2.40, and you've got your DC. The construction rules aren't terribly fleshed out, so all you need to concern yourself with is how big in 5 ft. squares  the structure is. The rest is just fluff.

And you could also familiarize yourself with the Shoddy/Worthless Item event from the GC chapter (in case you *want* a beastie to escape at exactly the "wrong" moment).

You could also use the tables Antilles mentions as a guide, and then make complex tasks to make buildings. That way you could plug into various abilities that affect complex tasks.
