What do you get if you mix the Ghostbusters, The Simpsons, Jaws, The Godfather, The Prisoner, and a whole bunch of other stuff.

Yeah, I saw that ... someone made the crack that she caught Vince McMahon's eye with her fighting skill ... She's like the female version of Vinnie Jones back when he played soccer. Although I doubt she'll match his quickest penalty, he was booted from a game in the first 5 seconds for kneeing an opposing player in the nuts.

If all the referees pay as much as attention as the ones in that match, I agree with you. She could probably shank the whole opposing team and get a yellow card, at most Smiley

Iirc she's earned herself a lifetime ban... until she proves that she's sorry.

Man, whatever. That bitch needs to face criminal charges. Too many 'athletes' in these sports do stuff like this on the pitch and nothing is said because it happens during a match.

If she did that to my wife or daughter, woman or not i'd beat the shit out of her myself.

*EDIT* And yes, this makes me VERY mad.

I know ice hockey players occasionally get charged around here when the violence 'clearly exceeds what is in the character of the sport' (ie. not necessarily just the rules, but what is clearly commonplace, a punch or two etc.). If this incident had happened on my patch, I'd take a closer look at some parts of that vid for sure. (the face-kicking? part, especially)...

As a sports writer, this sort of behavior is entirely new to me (The hair pulling included).

The problem in Lambert's case is that the refs are human, and they may have been a bit star struck by her. I see it happen all the time. A big-time player can get away with all kinds of stuff, but if a lesser-known guy tries to pull the same stunt, he'll get called on it.
