Yup. Its not an absolute trip to the table of ouch, but its pretty darn close... I figure it makes cashing in a die on confirming the crit an excellent alternative to rolling that die for extra damage if you rolled a threat. And if you are just dripping with dice you could do both.

So, anyone try anything with this? I'm looking at doing a big raid of 4th Ed D&D materials and was thinking I'd use the Health & Morale terminology.

I haven't anything to use it with yet, but I think I'd go with the secondary roll having to be a successful hit rather than another crit.

I considered it, but thought it was a little too dangerous to Player characters and devalued the no-cost critical options already out there a bit much.
