Just a quick missive to announce that Modus Operandi has been given an, overdue, facelift.

I'm aiming to put together some more articles in the New Year. If anyone else would like to submit material (the Spycraft 2.0 section is a bit unloved Sad) then please contact me at dpmcalister [at] modus-operandi.co.uk.

Thanks Smiley

Thanks.

It was a bit of a test for responsive web design as well (which I think has worked very well) so I'm really pleased Smiley

So are we going to get B&D rules for each of the named systems to really drive home the Shades of Grey motto?   Grin

Not a chance. The motto was thought of before those books became (in)famous. It's also represented throughout by the colour scheme. That said, it does make the "...about..." text seem a bit more current depending on who's reading Wink

Resurrecting an old thread but...

ENnies voting begins today and Modus Operandi is up for an ENnie in the Best Website category! Every vote counts so I'd like to ask you to vote for me.

Voting takes just a few seconds and requires no account or login, and you don't have to vote in every category:

1. Go here: www.ennie-awards.com/vote
2. Scroll to Best Website and rank Modus Operandi a "1"
3. Click the big “Submit Ballot” button to cast your vote

That's all! Thank you so much for voting for me!

Another piece of thread resurrection, but I thought it easier to keep it all in one thread. Apologises if that's wrong. Anyway, after finally getting the redesign done but spectacularly failing to put up any, real, new content, I'm determined to change that this year so...

One of my plans for 2015 is to put together a monthly series of plot hook articles covering the 20th Century. Each month will bring with it a plot hook for one of decades of the 20th Century. Some may just be a few short sentences, others more fleshed out but it is my intention to post something each month. I am aiming to post each one of the 14th of each month - a deadline is always an aid to completion I've found.

I hope that you will join me with this and, perhaps, it will inspire you to contribute something yourself - I am always open to receiving contributions no matter how big or small.

That has tons of potential (in addition to looking great!)
Looking forward to seeing more. I think there will come a point of critical mass.

Thanks. My aim is to widen the scope from the obvious espionage decades (as well as actually get back into writing). That said, the 1960s and the 1980s will have a couple of hooks rather than just one Wink

In a similar nautical vein: A potential plot hook for the 30s, or earlier
