Agreed; however, I'm in the more cautious category on this one.

Ditto.  I think it'll either rock or blow.  Either way, it will do so hard.

If nothing else, it carries the suggestion of a half decent rpg setting.

Precisely my thoughts while watching the trailer.  That happens to me a lot though - watching Walking Dead thinking "Man, I gotta run another survival horror GURPS game" (which, frankly, my group would straight up murder me for), or playing XCOM thinking "Gee, this would make for a cool Spycraft game".

Mockingbird Lane teaser

Meh verging on Do Not Want

Yeah, this has gone from must see to owie in the span of just one preview. Well, that and all the scuttlebutt about the showrunners not seeing eye to eye with regard to tone and content. Shame. This seemed to have real promise.

After watching the first episode I putting it firmly in a we'll see.

It's weak in some places and it really is the Izzard-O'Connell show, with a strong showing for Cook (Eddie) and Wakefield (Marilyn). It's strong bits (almost all of which were Izzard or O'Connell) were very strong. It's weak bits just sort of meandered. You do have to accept that Herman and Grandpa in this are pretty different then the original though.

So, like I said, we'll see.

Actually, we won't. The reason it was broadcast as a holiday special is because the series wasn't greenlit. That's all that currently exists for the show and unless something shocking happens there won't ever be any more.

Personally, I'm fine with that. I liked the visuals and there were kernels of good ideas in the story but on the whole it just isn't polished enough to move forward IMO.

I watched 1313 last night as well. It was enjoyable, but Izzard clearly stole the show. I didn't mind the differences from the original series, and they kept just enough similar to make it feel right.

The visual effects did need a little polish, but I would have kept watching if they hadn't canned it.

Woot! It's a crying shame that didn't get picked up to series.

2 Episodes are up on for BSG Blood and Chrome.   Not bad is all I'll say, and that coming from someone who hated BSG.
