So, who wants to play a Jumanji PbP?

1) Characters will begin play at Level 1.

2) You *must* use one of the Talents from the article 'Childish Things' in S&P 75. You may also use the Specialty and Feats in the same article if you wish. You may also choose a Specialty from the core book, WoF or any other canon source, as long as it is within reason.

3) Campaign Qualities will be:
- Basic Classes (Back to Basics)
- Historical (1979; money conversion: x 0.3; soundtrack will be supplied)
- "No I'm Not!" (S&P 75)
- Spirited
- Stockpile (The Big Score)

Gear is restricted to the kinds of things that a kid might own. No Gadgets allowed! Additionally, action dice will NOT refresh. At all. The pool you start with is a one off, and the only way to get more is to earn them. And remember:

ADVENTURERS BEWARE:
______________________________

DO NOT BEGIN UNLESS YOU INTEND TO FINISH
______________________________

THE EXCITING CONSEQUENCES OF
THE GAME WILL VANISH ONLY WHEN
A PLAYER HAS REACHED JUMANJI
AND CALLED OUT ITS NAME

It's an interesting idea.  I only of the movie

Done.

You don't need to know anything about either the tv show or the original book. In fact, it's better if you put what you know of the film out of your head too.

Pardon me while I accidentally the whole thing.

Now that I have read 'Childish Things' I am rather more favorably inclined.

Have ye some thoughts on the kids in question?

There are four of them. That's pretty much it. However, i'd prefer at least one to be an older sibling of another, and most to be social outcasts of some sort.

The town in question is Brantford in New Hampshire (IRL actually the city of Keene). Expect the era to be as authentic as possible. I even have the TV schedules and single/album releases for the week in question from 1979...

I'd be interested if you're still open.

Sure.

So that's Jim and Moebius, with RusVal as a maybe. I need exactly 4 players to make this work.

it sounds interesting...

one little Caveat...

I've never played 2.0  Cheesy I stuck with classic, I'll probably buy third as well, and from what I've read now.. I'll play it....

I never really understood 2.0, but I have the required material... so if people would be willing to put up with that... (and help me out during char creation...  Roll Eyes) jeez, I actually feel like a noob now  Cheesy

Verbal, that's no problem. We'll be happy to help!

That's Jim, Moebius and Verbal, with RusVal as a maybe. We either need a yes from Val, or a 4th 'definately'.

So, job done. Don't create a character yet; come up with a solid concept first. Age, personality, hobbies, etc.

9-year old shy kid that doesn't fit into any particular crowd, and has pretty good knowledge of some rather obscure trivia.  Also cartoons, he likes his cartoons.
