Rare Breed
Few have ever seen one of your people. In fact through the blessings (or curses) of the gods you may the only one of your kind.
Bonus Feat: Any 1 Species feat [2]
Inquisitive Mind: you gain two additional interests [1]
   Extra Trick [1]
   Origin Skill [1]
Tenacious Spirit [2] 1 additional vitality per level
Like Grand Specimen, this provides a non-spellcaasting speciality with a species feat, but without the impressive overtunes. This is deliberately designed with lots of choices to allow for a variety of backstories but at the cost of being rather bland.

Any comments?

I like it.

I also like how we've made four different specialities by now which grant a generic species feat, but each having a clearly distinct emphasis (Grand Specimen, Paragon, Monster, and now Rare Breed).

I've had a specialty almost identical to this in my game for a long time and I certainly haven't had any problems with it so far, though at first I think I was concerned that it seemed like trading flavor in for mechanics it doesn't really turn out different in the long run (because of how Species feats are handled in FC, most likely).

I would consider swaping tenacious spirit for +2 to lowest stat... which would neatly buy off the penalty for taking a second species feat for those feats that allow chaining a second feat by accepting a -2 to a stat.

Then you can very much construct some "rare breeds" Smiley

Thank you all for your input.
Rare Breed has been submitted to the Fantasy Craft Database and I hope it will be up in a few days.

Even how names like "Grand Specimen" and "Paragon" might make one think they're so much more alike.
