I was looking through my Spelljammer conversion (thread found here:
http://www.crafty-games.com/forum/index.php?topic=3502.0) and thinking about some of the setting aspects that I hadn't messed with yet. One of those are Tinker Gnomes. Now I personally have a hatred for Dragonlance Gnomes that most people reserve for kender (not that I don't hate them as well), but I'm not adverse to the concept of people or even an entire species that use advanced engineering in a setting as wide open as Spelljammer is. So, I decided to see what I could come up with. I started a new thread for this since the ideas here aren't limited to Spelljammer.
I decided that I didn't want to replicate magic items, so the gadgets ended up being non-permanent. I used the gadgets from Spycraft as a base with guidelines taken from the alchemy rules in Fantasycraft. I think my concept is sound, but not entirely sure about the numbers, so this will probably need some fine tuning. Anyway, please let me know what you think as any feedback will definitely be appreciated.
