Hello All,

I recently reviewed the Mistborn RPG, if folks are interested in hearing my perspective or weighing whether or not to take the plunge, please take a look at: http://agameofwhits.blogspot.com/

Great review. That does raise one issue that I had too. I would like the Extra rules to have been clearer. At the moment, I am going with one roll for a group and adding dice based on advantage of numbers. The later part is mentioned under the rules for using Influence IIRC. As it stands the idea of rolling once for each Extra and taking the highest result isn't that more efficient than treating them as full NPCs IMO.

Thanks, glad you enjoyed it. I agree on the extra rules, its a little unclear and may just need some help in an errata. I think you could adapt something else with relative ease, possibly treat a group of mooks as one NPC that can't be ganged up, and change the trappings of damage-dealing to taking out individuals. Alternately pair off extras with a bigger villain and treat it as an Advantage.

Thanks for the review witamous! We actually haven't sent the book to the printer yet, so there's still time to address some of your concerns. Of course this makes your input all the more valuable, so many thanks again! Smiley

Thanks Crafty_Pat!

I really appreciate your openness as a company to feedback from your fan base, it's definitely refreshing. When the final hardcover book ships, I plan on running at least a brief update on my blog, possibly with some actual play as well.

You can feel free to update to my full name (Whit Mattson) rather than my handle on the Mistborn page, I'm the odd duck out.

Thanks again!

Fantastic! Do point us to it when you put that up, as we'd love to hear what you think and pass the link along to our broader readership.
