This one is registering on both the creep meter as well as the fascination meter.  Will need to see a little more.

Yeah, I'm still noodling it as well.

Welp, splurged and picked up Starship Troopers: Invasion on DVD.  Had to hunt for it, the case was flimsy, the extra features are kind of bare (only one deleted scene, the "director's commentary" is just subtitles with some uninteresting stuff, the Gag Reel isn't that funny), the story isn't anything worth writing about (when one of your selling points is how cliched the characters are, there's a problem), and for some reason when the helmets fold back they make a rubber ducky squeak.
But it's compentantly animated, the voices actors gave a good effort, and the designs are very cool (though I find it funny that the "breast plates" of the female soldiers make it look like they are much larger than they actually are).
Basically, it's alright.  Barely worth the price, but not a waste.

On a different note, God Bless America is terrific if you take your humor black and your culture trashy.

I'm watching ST:I right now, and my feeling of disappointment is huge. I'd been hoping for something that would have been a resolution, even in part, to Roughneck Chronicles, and instead... ugh. Without those central character's it just becomes a generic space shooter with a megaton of one-sided fanservice.

Ricco as a damn general -- and white -- is just all manner of wrong, Casper van D be damned. But yes, the animation -- apart from the whole bugsplatter over the camera nonsense -- and power armour redesign is very nice.

The Hobbit: When we'll see Smaug (and the big question of how the first and second movies bridge)

The Hobbit: Riddles in the Dark (this one may not work outside the US, in which case I recommend pulling out to the main site, as there are likely links for other territories from there)

Skyfall videloblog: Underwater

Movie 43 red band trailer (very NSFW)

Parker trailer (I imagine there will be plenty of thumbs up for this 'round these parts)

Lone Ranger trailer (aka The Great Love of the Rail)

Not very revealing, sadly. And that quote at the end is a good two-three months old.

Listen to Adele's theme for Skyfall: http://home.adele.tv/

Personally, I think it's a long-awaited return to the style of the classic Bond themes.

I'm sure some will like this type of thing but, I just crossed Movie 43 off my list.

Parker looks amazing.

As a kid, I was a HUGE fan of the Lone Ranger.  I'm cautiously optimistic for this one but still concerned.

Is it? Sorry about that. I may have missed the earlier post(s), or just forgotten.

So incredibly awesome - and don't forget, tomorrow - today for some - is the 50th Anniversary of the release of Dr. No!
