Dredd Clip: This one focuses on MaMa. It's not much, but it doesn't miss the mark either.

Skyfall London Videoblog

Also, a couple hi-res shots of Thorin Oakenshield have hit...

Those images only seem to work if you copy and paste the url.  Just so people know before thinking the spoiler seems to be empty.

Yea, it looks like the comingsoon website blocks the tags from just pulling the images so you'll have to actually go to the url.

These are the urls for the Thorin pics pulled from Pat's post:
   http://www.comingsoon.net/nextraimages/thorinsword.jpg
   http://www.comingsoon.net/gallery/40304/hr_The_Hobbit%3A_An_Unexpected_Journey_22.jpg

Edit:  *sigh*  comingsoon is doing some weird stuff with these.  If you click a link and it takes you to the comingsoon homepage you may just have to do it again.  Apparently, they don't like people jumping directly to their images without going there first.

starring Sly Stallone and Sung Kang. Set for release in early 2013, the film — based on a graphic novel — pairs senior citizen Sylvester Stallone with Sung Kang. Old jokes, jokes about being old, and ass-kicking ensue.

...and there's one more site I won't be linking to from now on. I'll keep them in my RSS because they tend to break a lot of stuff, but you can all count on me either searching for alternate links or copying the content to somewhere else and linking from there.

Avengers Alternate Opening: This would have dramatically altered the tone of the whole movie IMO. It's probably best they didn't include the scene.

Everything or Nothing: The Untold Story of 007: Curious choice of title, given its previous use in the secondary canon. Doesn't turn me off or anything, and the pitch for the movie is strong - I just think they may be fighting a bit of an uphill battle with the title, like I did with World on Fire.

The Hole trailer

Last but certainly not least, the Evil Dead sequel is well and truly dead. Huzzah!

All I can think of after watching that is Dragon Age 2's opening.  I doubt it's intentional or anything, but it's funny.  I agree it would have totally changed the move, and it's good that it wasn't included.

Even though the ending it leads to is amusing, I'm also not a fan of the opening  — as a narrative tool with its bog standard redherring implications of death, it's annoyingly trite, the writing is consequently sub par, and I don't like the way it sets up Hill to the audience as a backstabbing quisling. The lack of the other deleted scenes however — especially Steve's — is criminal

Avengers Deleted Scene - Captain America: This is by far my favorite of the deleted Avengers scenes released so far. I agree with Brendon Goodyear, however, that while all of them are strong on their own, none of them were good fits for the finished film - even this one, which so gloriously links Avengers to The First Avenger, recalls one of the most ravishing women in Marvel movie history, and supports the extra screen time of a certain waitress in the finished film's final act. Just goes to show - *not* everything is, or should be, the sum of its parts.

Graphic Novel The Order Optioned for Film: I would have preferred this as a long-form series but a movie will do - for now.

Global James Bond Day Announced for October 5: Including the premiere of the aforementioned Everything or Nothing doco, a global online and live auction charity event of 50 lots to benefit twelve charitable institutions organized by Christie's in London, a film retrospective at the Museum of Modern Art in New York, a Music of Bond night in Los Angeles hosted by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences [may have to attend that, seeing as it's kind of in my back yard], and an exhibition, "Designing 007: 50 Years of Bond Style," at TIFF in Toronto.
