First Look At Johnny Depp And Armie Hammer In ‘The Lone Ranger’

I thought Depp playing Tonto was a joke.

I'm more mystified by the $215 millon price tag for the production.

What was it originally, one has to wonder. Remember when Titanic's $200M was outrageously the highest cost of all time 15 years ago?

Thinking on it, I'm actually disappointed they've stuck probably one of the biggest ticket items O'cool from the movie in the trailer.

I originally thought that's why it wasn't shown to US audiences (with the trickledown to us) for that very reason, but I might be giving them too much credit here.  I was also assuming it was an attempt at market targetting that lead to its inclusion in the Japanese trailer.

Appealing to the Japanese love of mecha? Yes, a reasonable assumption though in that case I'm surprised they didn't have Tony's unarmouring in the Stark pentouse sequence sexed up for them.
