I saw Snow White and The Huntsman today.
In short about 40mins in I said to myself, "unless this totally goes to crap at random I'm buying it when the opportunity arises."
It's good. Surprisingly, pleasingly good.
Dark, a little complex, and gorgeous.

I watched Trolljegeren earlier tonight (just finished, in fact), and it's a really fantastic film.  Catch it before the inevitable American remake!

The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey will premiere November 28 in New Zealand: We yanks get it two weeks later.

Also, there's a new production diary, this time focusing on Stone Street Studios where much of the movie is being shot, and the Weta Workshop, where props and prosthetics are made for all the LOTR and Hobbit movies. The surprise casting bit at the end is, well... I'll let you see for yourself.
