TWISTED.

You've taken everything I ever liked about the CCG setting and completely reassembled it so that I barely recognize it.  Poole?  Alex!?

Maybe it's my fault for not following the CCG since right after Nightfall, but... wow.  I'm halfway through Chapter 2.  Wow.

Thank you!  This is gonna be great stuff, as soon as I can untangle it enough to retangle it for my players.

It's a dark setting, produced from a dark place in Pat's brain. The setting he wanted it to be.

It's great. Conspiracies within conspiracies and no one's clean, if only by association.

Despite all Pitfall's nastiness, I will say I find it hard to do anything but like Century and if I ever run a WoF game I'll likely insert a heroic conspiracy within a conspiracy for Pitfall with him in charge of both.

Absolutely.  Century is one of the only genuine good guys left.  I hope there's a Pitfall faction book and I hope Century gets some love.  I just finished Chapter two with all the stuff about the Eternals, which was entirely new to me.  The tainted objects is great.

The Eternals would have made an appearance in the CCG had the game continued far enough. They were always intended to be an isolated element of the story to be revealed gradually. There's a part of me that would have preferred that option - and there's a part of me that's really sad I never got to write the Day of the Bullet storyline the way it was originally intended (the details are no different here - just revealed all at once and with none of the great bluffs, misdirects, and other surprises). The Poole and Alex reveals, especially. I loved the outline for those parts of the fiction cycle soooo much. Ah well...

Glad you like the dark, the twisted, and the grey. It's all exactly as I wanted for the setting and that's one of the most gratifying things about Crafty - that I'm finally getting to show off the setting that should have been.

And yes, you're supposed to root for Century. He's the ultimate underdog. Smiley
