I have always had teachers in my life: mother, father, grandmother, aunt, uncle, brother.  I know this is hitting them hard.

As a father, I can't even imagine.

I'll remind you that teachers and other adults died acting as human shields for some of those surviving children. As a teacher myself I can't say if I'd have had the courage to do that.

I didn't know if anyone else was in the same profession, or had family in the area.

True.  Since I'm not a teacher either, I'm still okay.  Being nowhere near there also helps.

I'm in southern New Hampshire, so I'm pretty close. I also have aspirations of becoming a teacher when I retire (hopefully early, like 40 or so), and have spent time as a substitute teacher. My heart goes out to the victims' families, as I can't begin to imagine the horror and sadness they're feeling now.

I'll reuse Agent 333's words, I have none of my own.
