Ah. Cute.

Oh, c'mon.  Not even a small chuckle?  lol.

And yes.  I had help from family properly arranging that phrase.  lol.  The gist of it was "Stop asking for dates."

Sorry. It's late (for me), and I'm just tryin' to push through to a lunch meeting now.

Any other morning I'd probably be high-fiving you, so let's just say that's goin' down, yea? Smiley

LOL.  I understand those mornings / weeks.  Pop something containing a vastly unhealthy amount of caffeine or wear reflective sunglasses while hiding under your desk for 30 minutes.  Hopefully they won't find you.

Crafty, you're killin' me!  Played three modules of first version of SC3 at GenCon...2010.  Watched it being played at Neoncon 2010, but couldn't play because I'd already played all the modules at GenCon and Pat didn't want me to spoil it for the players who hadn't played.  Played the revised version at GenCon 2011.  I think this is the ONE rpg that could get my Tuesday night boardgamers (ONLY!) to try an rpg!  Smiley

So awesome to see the enthusiasm Greg! Spycraft Third is what we hope is the very last victim of a bygone era. Allow me to explain...

Way back when we were breaking ties with Mongoose we were forced to destroy our entire existing inventory of Spycraft 2.0 product. That's not hyperbole - for a variety of rather unfortunate reasons we basically had to let go of all of it for good. That left us in a rather precarious position, in that we had nothing to put on shelves and were basically starting from scratch. At the time it seemed like the best of several undesirable calls to announce Third Edition, which at the time was a rather distant concern. We knew it would be a while before we got the product to market but we figured that it was better to be open with you that a new version of the game was coming than to have the current edition inexplicably vanish from shelves, leaving you to wonder about the fate of the brand.

We pushed forward, developing the new edition as quickly as we could without sacrificing quality, and here we are, less than a month away from the biggest and most concentrated period of development yet - at this year's Crafty Spring Summit. Alex and I are really happy with what we've got planned, and we think you will be too, but the Mongoose split really did a number on the game in terms of anticipation fatigue. Was it the right call? We'll probably never know. We do know it will be worth the wait, and we hope you'll indulge us both as we bring this landmark new line to market and as we steadfastly refuse to speak of the future again until it's set in stone.

Yo Greg! There's a pretty good chance I was one of your Spycraft GMs at Gencon 2010, and we probably shot the breeze at NeonCon that same year.

My advice, and it's worth the electrons it's carved from: Get yourself a copy of Spycraft 2 (PDF or PoD) and start playing. SC2 is a big ol' beast, and you can do a lot with it - Fleming knows I've used it for scads of different games. It'll get your feet under you, and when SC3 shows up, you'll be able to make an easy transition to the new line.

The above may be conjecture, deliberate paraphrase, or outright bullshit.

Looking for GMs for Ohio Valley conventions. Some danger involved.

Don't get me wrong, all.

SC 2.0 brought back my interest in Roleplaying. I had heard it was a good engine for d20 roleplaying. Initially it powered my D20 Traveller campaign, then Post-Apoc, then Pulp Horror, then Fantasy, then everything.

I was just trying to boost spirits in my previous post, not set any deadlines.

I'm sure SC 3.0 will be even better than 2.0  Grin

Lo, there do I see my father. Lo, there do I see my mother.
And my sister and my brother
Lo, there do I see the line of my people Back to the beginning.
Lo, they do call to me.They bid me take my place among them

Based on what we've been churning out at the summit the last several days, I'd say you'll be very pleased. Wink
