If I can ever get WOF, I'm working on another idea, but it will be a hard game to play/run. Basically it will be one player who knows little or nothing about a pregenerated character who will learn his history/details as the game moves on, and who will have the hunted and amensia traits.  Another player or team who is been ordered to terminate a rogue agent. the trick is to find out the truth in a double blind game. It will be a hard Espionage game in the vien of a lundlum or Flynn novel.

 Cool
No problem, the bad part is that so far no game shop here has WOF, even though I've had it on preorder for what seems to be forever, and I"ve checked certain of the larger bookstore chains and they will not even try to order the book. It looks like I will have to get it on PDF even though I vastly prefer hard bound books.

By the way do you what to put your hat in the ring for the amnesiac agent or for one of the hunters?

They've taken your order but not gotten it in? Have you asked what distributor they're using? That would help us enormously in tracking down the issue.

I'll ask what distributers they use next time I stop by. I know they use two different ones but not the details.

Cool  I wound up downloading  WOF on PDF for now, until I can get the hardcover, as well as Fragile Minds, (EVIL very EVIL) I'll start working out the rough details and get back to you folks.

Grin  I have a rough working idea that I am playing with, I am submitting it for comment so feel free.  A game with three groups, the primary group is one player, Amnesia and hunted. he will now his skills but no details like skill level or any other details. Group two between 1 and 3 characters, origional orders were to investigate the disappearance of an agent, (guess who) but the orders they received were to terminate the threat!!! Cool  Group three between 1 and 3 characters, from another agency investigating why the second group is violating orders. There will be a couple of magor bad guy/organizations but they will also be working at cross purposes. because the actual bad guy is manipulating the whole thing.  Think Lundlum meets Flynn meets paranoia.

The hard part will be for the primary agent playing basically a Bourne type character who has to discover who and what he is, and staying alive long enough to do so.  Grin Cool

Sounds great to me.  I'm wondering how many levels Bourne had on most of the people he dealt with.  Of course, being the hero, he gets more than a few lucky breaks, but still.

It isn't just that Bourne was good, but everyone else was bad.

Let's say Bourne is a level 10 agent.  Using the normal method for determining Threat Level would mean his enemies are Threat Level 2 NPCs.

At best, he had one parter for a while (Marie), and for the sake of argument, let's say she was level 10, too (bear with me here).  Then he is still only facing Threat Level 4 NPCs.

But put 5 Bournes together and now all the NPCs are Threat Level 10, too.

Bourne is like a Ninja.  The more of them there are, the weaker they get.

I'm not sure about the levels , but that is a point, though you are basing off the Movies and not the novels. I am trying to formulate a very twisted paraniod experiment in a spy game.  though the primary chraacter will hopefully find clues early. the game will be a question of who to trust and who is lying to who and how much.  But as I listed I am just starting to get the firm ideas settled, and I still have some reading to do through the WOF PDF and considering the elements in that as well.
