OOC: Don't know. I thought an ambush required time to set up, and with possible observers nearby, I didn't know if we could pull it off undetected. I'm all for it. They won't find me until I want them to find me.  Cool

For the sake of pacing:

The two aliens are successfully ambushed and killed, collapsing in crumpled heaps before they knew what hit them. The remains of your team mates are unguarded, and you have 5 and half hours until the SGC attempt to make a contact you can't respond to.

Alex will rummage through any items the aliens have on them, then move on to the team members pulling the dog tags and any salvageable equipment.
