On a similar note, if I recall correctly Claudia Christian played Ivanova in a B5 rpg at a con a few years back.

No citation, so it may just be urban legend.

I remember someone posting all the pics for the Nathan Fillion game (or one anyway, as it doesn't sound quite the same), they were playing Firefly using GURPS (I think it was before Serenity - though by very little) and in his enthusiasm he flung dice all over and spent quite a while trying to gather them all up.
Despite this mishap (though the poster on the forum was fairly smitten) he joined in with gusto and kept spouting Japanese phrases to get into the vibe.

Um.. Wow. If I could play an RPG with Nathan Fillion (as Mal nonetheless!) I'd be soo happy.

From memory, he only played for a short while - and was playing River at that! Tongue

I would track down the photo of him mid-game, but I'll let someone else do it this time.

kinda off topic... Vin Disel tried to get Judi Dench to play a game of Dungeons and Dragons with him. I don't care if D&D is not that great of system, but I would have enjoyed playing a round with Disel and Dench.

Nah, I want to sit at a table with Robin Williams.

I remember reading transcript of an interview with him and they asked him if he played D&D, he responded with something along the lines of "I've never played D&D, I've never read..." and spouted off a list of about 20odd D&D books, and I think he kept throwing in class names and gaming terms...

I thought Robin Williams was a Games Workshop addict.

I remember reading transcript of an interview with him and they asked him if he played D&D...

VIN:  No. I never play D&D. For some reason, they thought that I played D&D for 20 years. They thought that I spent years playing Barbarians, Witchunters, The Arcanum. They thought I played D&D back in the '70s when it's just the basic D&D set. They thought I continued to play D&D when it became Advanced Dungeons and Dragons. They thought I played D&D when there were only three books - the "Player's Handbook," the "Monster's Manual" and the "Dungeon Master's Guide." They thought I played D&D as it continued onto the Unearthed Arcanum, Oriental Adventures, Sea Adventures, Wilderness Adventures. THEY thought I played D&D at the time when "Deities and Demigods" was the brand new book. THEY thought I played D&D when I used to get up to a place called The Complete Strategist in New York.[Mouths: "I'm into D&D a lot."]

So you've been watching the new series of Stargate Atlantis, then?

Certainly. Even if I hadn't been watching the show out of loyalty to the original (which I fancy quite a lot), it's now got Ms. Tapping on, and she's just as hot (and even hotter in person, not to mention riotously funny).

As for meeting Firefly peeps, my gf got her photo taken with Summer Glau last year, and I got to meet Badger at GenCon. Tho if you want to meet someone really nice, go for Nathan Fillion - he'll even sit in on your game if you ask him Wink

There's lots of folks like that. Not Firefly-related, but Shatner's first rate. He probably wouldn't sit in on a game, but he's about as cool as they come. He even showed up to GenCon SoCal when he was dog sick. That's professionalism, baby.

If I remember correctly, that was part of the push for the revamped Immortal game she headlined.

Nah, I want to sit at a table with Robin Williams.

That would rule! He could play the other five characters all at once.   Smiley

He is, but I recall mention that he ran D&D (or something) games for his kids when they were younger.  He's is also (self-admitted) a huge video game fan.  FPS, RTS, Pokemon.

I heard Robin Williams & Billy Crystal square off on a regular basis with Warhammer Fantasy battles. Wil Wheaton used to write a column titled Wil Save for Dragon as well.

Imagine the fun table of Diesel, Dench, Williams, Fillion, Wheaton, Crystal, Matthew Lillard and, believe it or not, Mike Myers.

Don't forget to add Stephen Colbert in there, too Wink
