I swear.. this isn't a spam bot or an ad.  We're having an inter office debate.. but it's all hearsay.. so I'm turning to get some of my own hearsay!  Have any of you ever used those Gunnar computer glasses to reduce eye strain / glare, etc?  Are they worth it?  So far... I've had an arm chair Optimologist say that they're just gimmicky reading glasses and another who swears he has a friend of a friend who would have gone blind without them.  Sooo.. yeah.. you folks tend to be a reasonable bunch.

My previous prescription had the yellow tint to reduce the glare from computer monitors. The current pair does not. I haven't given it much thought until you mentioned it.

I guess that means I haven't noticed the difference.

Unless you're sitting in front of a CRT all day, it's more a personal prefrence. If you are sitting in front of a CRT, a yellow tint is still personal prefrence, but the anti-UV coatings can be important.

In general though, they're gimicky to me. But so are most ergonomic gadgets. To others they're useful, and to some vital.
