For the sake of variety, I use this one:

http://www.amazon.com/Savage-Worlds-Customizable-Screen-S2P10002/dp/1930855591

It's 3-panel landscape. I find I like Landscape better, as it feels less like a wall. It's easier to talk over. I'd love Kruelos' stuff in landscape.  Smiley

I've made some effort in the past to convert from Portrait to Landscape -- in my purely subjective opinion, it's a sincere pain in the ass unless you have the source files to work from. Especially if, like me, you're hacking things together using MS Office, Gimp, and a healthy dose of pdf snapshots.

Also, what comes *with* this unprofitable French GM screen, and would it be of interest to people who can't read French (because like most lazy Americans, they let their high school french atrophy to non-existence.)

It actually comes with an Adventure we prepped for the U.S. market first. Just so happens they wound up publishing it before us. Smiley

So remember that Hammerdog Games landscape screen I said I was having trouble tracking down?  Yeah, I found one.  Don't have much of a market for it in these parts, but I had my sales rep put one aside for me.  I got it in this morning.

Yeeeeaah...

So if anyone is looking for one, sending me a PM or contact me through the website in my profile.  Keep in mind, unless you live in The Lower 48, shipping costs can be prohibitive (to say the least  Cry ).

Works with magnetic game aids? Is it rigid like there's a metal sheet in there? That would be extra-rad.

Yeah, I carry these in my store. I find it to be overpriced and I've never gotten anything magnetic to stick to it.

Unfortunately, I had to concur with Big Jim.  The first thing I did when I read that line was try it with the magnetic bearing we stick notes to the register with.  It rolled right off.  Angry

As for the price, the retail is US$2 more than the Savage Worlds Screen, for an extra 8 inches.

Hmm. Are the panels thin enough that you could stick magnets to each other through it, pinning something against the panel?

Nope. You could pull some shenanigans with a thin magnetic sheet in the pocket behind you paper insert, but you'll need to put them front and back for double sided magnetic action. So it'll just sandwich the clear plastic window between the two magnets - and doen't do a very good job of that (I tried).

As far as cost, My Spycraft 2.0 screen was color printed on cardstock at OfficeMax and laminated for about $5. Best screen for the buck, ever.

Ok folks, so here's what I've cobbled together so far in its current state:

This is my 4-panel GMs screen insert https://docs.google.com/open?id=0B4TR5rppCdAYY2U5ODhhMzItMTM3Yy00MjFkLTk3MzktN2UzZTdkZGNlYjc0, again formatted for panel orientation because that's what I've got.

I have loaded them into my "World's Greatest Screen" http://www.nobleknight.com/ViewProducts.asp_Q_ProductLineID_E_2137420721_A_ManufacturerID_E_1114259828_A_CategoryID_E_0_A_GenreID_E_119

In addition to this, I have 4 panels (on both the outside of my screen and separately, back to back, in clear plastic sleeves for the players) this Player's Basics + Conditions + Combat Actions pages:
https://docs.google.com/open?id=0B4TR5rppCdAYOGM5ZjExZTMtNDljYi00NmZhLTk4Y2QtNDRiODNlNmFjODAx

This is really useful for new players stepping in to try out the game. Half the time I don't even have my screen up in front of me, but with these 8 total panels, I can GM a session nearly bookless (YMMV)

btw, I'd really appreciate constructive criticism on how to improve the layout/positioning and overall usefulness

I know Table 2.7 is repeated on two pages -- which page should I remove it from and what should I put in its place? of the GM's panels

Good work there, Lord K! The only criticism I have is the 'squashiness' of it all - but I that's what happens with trying to put images into a very restricted space.

You seem to be armed to the teeth with all 8 sheets! Wink

Here's my version of the screen, which I've been using for the last year or so. It was designed to stick on the back of the 4 panel D&D 3.5e Eberron screen, which has 2 square side panels. Hence the odd sizing.
https://docs.google.com/viewer?a=v&pid=explorer&chrome=true&srcid=0B0iuJ-pjky8BZDJkYTEwMTItNTgzMi00NzE3LThmZDktN2VmZGU1MTMwNGU1&hl=en_GB

I've still got a few changes to make on it, and LordKs screen has given me inspiration for a few extra tables! Any comments are greatly appreciated! Wink

Cheers! Cheesy

EDIT: Regarding 2.7, I say keep it on the GM's (your) screen. Remove it from the other sheet set and replace it with other skill tables.

The way I have it right now, they're both on GM's side, depending on how you distribute them (I have them as 1-2-3-4).

I think most of the key skill tables are already on there, what's missing?

What about a small table of weapons? or perhaps some of the more common damage types?

That would work, but there are so many weapons, you would have problems fitting them on.

You don't have a many of the skill tables, but they might not be 'important' to you. I needed all of them as my players have pretty much all the skills between them.

There are so many things you could add, and at this point it would be personal preference.

Cheers! Cheesy

Let me change the question a little then Smiley

There are only 5 tables in Chapter 2 that aren't on the screen right now.
2.1 - Purchasing Skills (not a candidate)

2.3 - Earning Income and Reputation
2.9 - Crafting
2.10 - Disguises
2.18 - Foraging

Which are the most needed for quick-lookup on the fly from those bottom 4 tables?
I would guess the Crafting table is the least critical of those four because it only gets used during Downtime anyway.  That same reasoning would apply to 2.3 but I can see how both of these tables would still be nice to sneak in if there's space.
I would guess the Foraging table would be the next least critical, both because it's a basic 10/15/20 check and because it seems to come up less often
