And to make things curiouser:

There are now no Crafty Products listed on the Flaming Cobra page. No WoF, no 2d Printing, no 10k Bullets.

Spinningdice and OverNinja are upstanding members of the Crafty community...
I'll get the shotguns and lynch props...

Agreed... Upstanding members,

But they've got my book.

Just to be sure, I'm fully equiped in my laboratory to "humanly torture" rats.

No worries, guys. I've been out to lunch (AKA jackhammering a giant patio to concrete dust) over the last few days and have missed a few phone calls. Perhaps there's something I missed. Regardless, Crafty did approve the book, and it's not a bad thing that the people who went to the trouble of pre-ordering have their copies finally, is it?  Cool

Yes.  Yes it is.  But only because they're not us. Smiley

Maybe the early shipments of the pre-orders are actually evil plans for a mass takeover by Mongoose by printing the books using hypnotic ink with imbedded messages?  ...or.. maybe we'll get a release date today.  Smiley

Well well well with the Second Printing makeing it's way accross the Atlantic I'm going to have to get off my duff and run a demo game or two at the LGS to get them to order it and get folks jazzed about it.

Modern genre is big here but no one like d20 Modern Smiley good thing I know a better ruleset eh?

You want a date?  Surely you jest.  Undecided

According to user profiles, Dice is in the UK (home of Mongoose Publishing) and OverNinja is in Finland.  Assuming they actually have books and this isn't a prank like "Pretend Your A Time Traveller Day" or something, that means 'Goose is shipping.  If you are in Europe, you are very lucky, and have yet another reason to point and laugh at us poor S.O.B.'s here in the U.S.  The most likely method of travel for our books is by boat.  Then we have to pray some uptight, self-righteous #$@%*& in customs doesn't  read World on Fire, correctly deduces that Pitfall are the bad guys, and ties up the books in red tape for the crime of wrongspeak.

As I've said before, it gets here when it gets here, and not a moment sooner.  Sad

I can see the headlines now:

"World on Fire is a handbook for espionage crime!"  -  Anonymous Department of Homeland Security flunky.

From everything the Crafty guys have said, it's probably the most political RPG since the original Paranoia.

To be honest, Paranoia is just happy to have someone to talk to on that list.

First off - Second Printing is NOT on the boat. We have not approved final galleys (though I expect them today or tomorrow). Most likely, a wide run of WoF is not on the boat, either (if it is, there's going to be a bigger issue).

Dice and OverNinja indicated they preordered directly through Mongoose. Mongoose's new presses let them run as big or small a run as they like, so they're probably shipping those preorders now before doing full runs on the books for stores and the like. Until we flag the galleys as A-OK, though, nothing gets on the boat.

So the good news is, you have a bit more time. Not tooo much, but at least a few more weeks at this rate.

Sonuvabeach, a ki spike with my groggy, bleary breakfast.
So I'm equally parts giddy, confused, and totally wanting a piece of this. Who/When/How!?

"Pics or didn't happen." Cheesy

You'll have to wait until weekend if you want pics Tongue.

Book is fantastic. The Eternals are... intriguing. Pitfall is nastier than I thought (way nastier). Crunch is very crunchy.

Can't wait to lay my hands on the Faction PDFs.

Shocked BOAT?!? My copy (pre-ordered more than a year ago) is on a boat... How long does it take to cross the ocean to get to the states?

Oh... Viva Wikipedia... About 7 days by boat.

Next week, maybe I'll have my copy.  Cheesy
