Hey everyone,

Gonna sticky this so that those of you who don't get over to the blog still see them. Here's what we have so far...

  • Mistborn Adventure Game Primer: Containing a brief overview of the novel setting, the very core of the Mistborn Adventure Game rules - on just two 6 x 9 pages!, a prequel scene to the first adventure release, "Thieves of the Ninth House," and four sample characters so you can dive into the action right now!
  • Mistborn Adventure Sample Heroes: Eight complete Heroes for the Mistborn Adventure Game, just as they appear in the book, featuring full backgrounds with story seeds to kick-start your campaign and spice up the Crew's adventures, and beautiful full-body art by Mistborn series concept artist Ben McSweeney
  • Mistborn Adventure Novel Characters - Van and Sazed: Two fan favorites from Brandon Sanderson's original Mistborn trilogy, complete with backgrounds, guidance, and rules - just as they appear in the book; featuring beautiful full-body art by Mistborn series concept artist Ben McSweeney
  • Mistborn Adventure Game Conflicts: The full text of the Conflict Rounds section, showing how Physical, Social, and Mental Conflicts unfold in play. and how dice are used and managed at the table. Conflcits are the very heart of the Mistborn Adventure Game, and used for everything from combat to blackmailing someone to breaking their will.
  • Mistborn Adventure Game Sheets: The full Mistborn Adventure Game character sheet, plus the Scheme and Plan of Action sheets (these are just previews - all final sheets will include full form functionality)
  • Interior Illustrations: We've uploaded nine so far, over on the Crafty Games Facebook Page. Like what you see? Be sure to Like the Page!
  • Destiny and Tragedy Excerpt: Two companion excerpts from the Building a Hero section.

Right now all of these are being hosted in the Mistborn section of our Downloads page, over at our DriveThruRPG webstore, on our Facebook Page, or on our Product Updates blog, though some previews will only appear in some of those places, or elsewhere (smaller excerpts may appear over on our Twitter page, for example). So be sure to join us everywhere for the full experience.

The Mistborn Adventure Game releases December 15, shortly after Brandon Sanderson's fourth Mistborn novel, Alloy of Law.

I read through the Preview, and I don't understand where Action Dice come from.

You will. Conflict excerpts are coming soon and will cast some light on the subject. Wink

The Primer isn't intended to be a complete game experience, and you may note that Conflicts aren't actually used in the intro scene contained in the booklet. They're a pretty central part of the game, however, so we wanted to mention them in the rules overview.

We just posted not one but two updates: a smallish preview (as promised - tomorrow we'll be posting a bigger one), and an interview with 17th Shard, Brandon's official fan site. The interview is especially juicy, as we talk more about the game there than we have anywhere else to date.

Head over to our blog and check 'em both out!

Friday's preview was the Mistborn Adventure Game Sample Heroes, but we had a bit of a site burp late that night that fragged several hours of forum traffic.

You can find the preview and an update about the digital release on our blog.

Very cool and evocative artwork (though the cover still confuses me immensely).  If I had facebook I would both like and retweet the page (or the facebook equilivent).

How so? Is it the perspective?

I think so.  I adore the rest of the artwork, so it's a minor thing (plus the rules are what really matters to me - nice art is a bonus).

Today marks the release of Brandon Sanderson's fourth Mistborn novel, The Alloy of Law, which thrusts Scadrial into a whole new age of exciting adventure! Congrats to Brandon and everyone at Dragonsteel and Tor!

We're also exactly two weeks away from the release of the Mistborn Adventure Game, and to celebrate we're showcasing two fan-favorites from the original trilogy, as they'll be seen in our game...

Fair warning: Novel characters are presented at the most interesting points in their lives, and so these excerpts do contain trilogy spoilers

Second item of the day: head over to Tor.com to enter the fourth Mistborn Adventure Game sweepstakes for a chance to win the deluxe hardcover edition of this thrilling new product from Crafty Games.

Finally, we now have a Google+ Page. There isn't much there yet but it's a safe bet that will change soon. Follow us there to see what's in store.

Over the coming days and weeks we'll be releasing many previews and freebies for the Mistborn Adventure Game line. Sometimes you'll get new sheets and rules excerpts, other times art and story material, and we also have a few special surprises planned as well. Be sure to watch the Crafty Games website, Like us on Facebook, and Follow us on Twitter for more previews leading up to the December 15 release of the Mistborn Adventure Game.

Cool!

I've never ever used Facebook, but being a big user of the many Google goodies, a Google+ page is something I can follow more easily. Smiley

As usual we'll be spreading material out and each site will get its own exclusives, but if Google+ works for ya, more power! Smiley

How many characters from the Trilogy get the treatment like Vin and Sazed here?

All the biggies and a few others. Total? A baker's dozen.

That's just named characters. There's also a Rogues Gallery with tons of unnamed generics for use in your games.
