Yeah. The shipping cost is the genuine cost but it is on the high side IME. Still not as bad as I feared

The download link I was sent says "Click here to download Mistborn Adventure Game Deluxe Hardcover Edition"
However the download actually downloads the House of Ash novella, not the manual itself. Is it just me?

You may want to read that again. It thanks you for purchasing the hardcover, and invites you to download the Digital Edition. At least that's what it's done in test for the last several hours.

Hey everyone,

First, apologies for the lateness in the day. We did say it might not happen all that early - well, we actually said that we were having to rely on the schedules of others, and that we'd get it up as soon as we could. All that's true. The web developers in the audience may recognize the "Drupal-ness" of our site - that means it's a bit hard to work with sometimes, especially when setting up direct orders (something we've never done before). We would have loved to have set up something to just automatically go live at midnight last night. Sadly, the site doesn't have that functionality either, nor does any ecommerce option we have available that will speak with the site. So we had to do things manually, and that meant waiting on folks to make it happen. So it goes.

Second, those of you who purchased the book at Gen Con are receiving the same files we're making available to everyone else here. We apologize that those haven't already gone out, but the process to update you is reliant upon the sale process being in place. We know, silly. Believe us, if we could make this process any smoother at this stage, we would.

Third, those shipping costs are 100% naked. - that is to say, they're being automatically calculated by the carrier, and we claim zero money on that front. Shipping sucks. Imagine what we pay getting whole palettes of books across the country.  

Fourth, uh, stay tuned. I'm sure there will be more in a bit...

The pre-orders have been updated, and everyone should see an email from ejunkie shortly - if you haven't already. Again, we apologize for the sale page going up first - it was just the workflow, and we didn't figure the less than an hour it took to get those emails out would be a big deal.

You should get a zip file with House of Ashes PDF, Mistborn Adventure Game PDF and House of Ashes ePub.

Trying unzipping again or looking inside the zip file.

Alas not, I've downloaded it three times just in case, it's a Zip file called "a_house_of_ashes", containing both a PDF & UPUB file of the A House of Ashes novella.

I got the email and downloaded it.  I preordered it about 30 minutes after the option to preorder it and Spellbound went up.  Don't have time to read it though, I'm on my way out.

The only concern I have is that I don't see any reference to what I purchased, the way that Leviathan has - I ordered the bundle with the deluxe hardcover and PDF, but it only has PDF mentioned in the email.  So I just want to be sure that it hasn't incorrectly allocated me the wrong product or anything - if everyone (except Leviathan?) got the email that doesn't mention their hardcover then it's all good, otherwise I'll shoot you an email Pat.

Considering there's a $2.41 shipping charge for the digital version when I go to check out, my wallet cries for you.
