So, if I'm reading the map right, the "other" goblin is dead?  Hmmm, If that is the case, I guess that Alexander will just stab the goblin again.

You mean this? It's on the wiki, the link to the main page is in the OP.

FYI: I'm flying home today.  Wish me luck with my 26 hours of travel.  I may be able to post but I make no promises.

Also, I have been informed by my wife that I am being kidnapped for a Vegas weekend.  I may not be posting until Monday evening (Pacific time).  I appreciate your patience with me.

What's my relative position to the closest goblin? One move action away? Two? Remember, I only move 20 feet at a time.

With 20 ft. speed you're about 2 1/2 move actions away from the one ssryn is grappling with, 6 move actions away from the blind and 'unconscious' one.

Almost home, yeah!

Since Alexander can move 30 feet / half-action (60 feet / round), what can he run?  My memory says 120 feet; however, I'm not sure.  He just wants to get as close to remaining threats as he can.

Well, one's currently pinned by the naga, one's curled up into a ball, weeping softly, and the last, judging from Vanderzryx's position, is some ways into the forest on the other side of the road. I dunno if it's in the rulebook, but I'm gonna rule that you can't run in this difficult terrain.

I set out arranging my actions one way but then changed my mind and re-arranged them, keeping the same rolls (same things were done, just in a different order)... hope that's okay.

Hopefully the new arrangement will resolve my part of the conflict in the most interesting manner possible.  Smiley

Edit: reworded my threat slightly... Ssryn doesn't have much in the way of communications skills though so if I failed again that's pretty well within character.

As usual, inform me of any ghastly errors I might have made in my actions so I can avoid making them again. Also... if it's easier on everyone, I can be marginally out of character and let the critter escape without making too much fuss about it, on a guarantee that it won't bite us in the ass (too hard) later.  Grin

I'm about to head to bed, so I'll have to process your actions tomorrow, but I can tell you a couple of things right away. As far as I can tell, by RAW you cannot use Toxin Sacs to apply your poison to a weapon or into a container. However, I think it's kinda cool, and will suggest the following: You can take two full actions and use two 'uses' of your toxin sacs poison to extract enough liquid for 1 dose of poison, either directly onto something that has the poisonous quality, or into a container for later use (but it will lose potency after 5-10 minutes). For your current action you won't be able to extract enough poison to do more than make it sting a bit more, but it's still a cool thing to do and I'll give you an AD for it. Also, that readied action is indeed too complex. It's either throw knife or trip (unless you take that origin option that allows you to ready two actions...)

Also, Catodon, Vandarzryx can have an AD for his death from above maneuver Wink.

I like your idea, it sounds fair... including the part about losing potency. I would further add that it would only be effective if injected, so a weapon with the poisonous quality is the way to go.

Didn't give her the toxin as something I intended to rely on anyway... it's there for stylistic purposes.  Wink

So for the ready action I'll go with my first decision and she will let him get a small head start, before throwing the knife and preparing to chase (or track, if the group thinks we can try following him back to his friends).

Either way he'll (presumably) be running like hell and likely leaving a pretty clear trail for someone who actually has the tracking ability (curses not being a class skill).

I'll clean up my post so you don't have to sort through the spam.

Thank you. It was kinda the dragon version of recklessness humans would call dareing-do or heroics. Thank you also for your description of the outcome. I keep playing the little film of that bit of action in my head, exciting and satisfying.
