So did you guys catch the premier episode last night?  What did you think of it?

I actually liked it.  Kind of reminded me of Quantum Leap without the body leap.  The mystery of why he's leaping and what really happened to his first fiance got me interested in seeing future episodes.

...Forgot that it was on at the same time as Heroes.  Fortunately for me I have a friend who tapes the show...

Actually, it's on right after Heroes.  They can't be on at the same time, since they're both NBC shows.  Smiley

Heh, my only defense was that I was doing a lot of channel switching between shows last night so I got confused with which shows conflicted with another.

Journeyman looks to provide my home campaign with some interesting food for thought (it's also centered on time travel...one day I'll get my story hour up).

I must have missed something... I found it non-entertaining and switched over to watch wrestling (and I don't watch wrestling).

Well, it's slow.  And intellectual/philisophical in a way American sci-fi (and TV in general) hasn't been for years.  Not that this makes a show worthwhile or good mind you, but it's part of what makes things like this hit or miss.  Life on Mars was similar, but with an added psychological issue.  It was, however, linear in structure and Journeyman isn't.

Of course, it's about time we got another sci-fi show that wasn't lock-in linear.

I can handle non-linear shows or movies... I guess it may be one of those shows that my require my full attention, and not one just to have going on in the background.

I have a question but it contains spoilers so for those who haven't watched the 2nd episode, don't read further (or someone show me how to hide texts).

I didn't pay close enough attention (got addicted to Heroes of Might and Magic again....)

Anyway, there was a scene where his former fiance tells him about the use of his old cell phone.  I got the impression that it was used as some sort of early warning system before he leaped into a different time frame.  Can someone expand on that scene?  Thanks.

I love the citrus gag in that scene. Wonderful.

Nope. That'll almost certainly become a focus of the season's or series' mega-plot.

Just saw the 1st ep tonight and loved it - not least because I had a crush on Gretchen back when she was in Martial Law.

I didn't even notice that this has started in the UK (Sky One are showing episode 5 tonight) Sad

Time to hit Bit-torrent and download those episodes I've missed!

I've been looking forward to it because it finally gives Kevin McKidd some recognition (aside from Rome) - he's one of Scotland's underrated actors.
