*Tips hat.*

So I got to play in the Sins of the Father game at GenCon, and was looking to pick it up to run for my group.  Could not find it on Drive Thru RPG though.  Is this one not gonna be released for a while?  The DM lead me to believe it was already out.

It may also be a bit more... involved by the time it releases. Wink

Thanks for the kudos! Alex, Gentry, and I (especially Gentry) appreciate the feedback.

What's this?  I couldn't find anything about it on the Crafty product pages or using the Search function.

It is the Fantasy Craft adventure we prepared for this year's Gencon. Gentry is filling it out to be a full sandbox-styled module for home play as well. You can't find it on the schedule because it's not yet Smiley

Yeah the DM / GM mentioned it was supposed to be about a 10 hour run and that he would be shortening it as we ran.

If it will be a little bit before it hits, might be a nice place to try out some of the Spell Bound stuff too.

Yeah... were you in the Friday morning session (I was playing the Saurian Burglar and my daughter was playing the elf mage)? I was sort of feeling bad for the Soldier, because most of what he was cutting was combat.

I would agree with you, but the reason I love FC (not trying to suck up on the forums I swear) is because even the Orc Soldier, can do tons of stuff that aren't combat.  Sure I didn't see the updated iconic for the soldier, but from I know of the normal one is he is ripe with possibilities if the person uses a little imagination.

I'm glad to see there's positive feedback coming in. I'm happy to take play reports and feedback of any sort (positive or negative), and since the absolute final form of the module is still amorphous at the edges your feedback may provide a critical assist. Unfortunately, I'm currently in the middle of an obscene ccomputer crash/warranty support battle, so if you want to send me commentary, please PM it to me here on the forums rather than trying to email it to me. That way Koala only has to keylog Crafty.  Wink

Hey.. I didn't say _I_ was keylogging.. just saying.. it'd be an awesome (joking.. of course.  In reality, that'd be a pretty crappy thing to happen for everyone involved) thing.  Warranty battle?  Must be an HP.. or maybe a Dell..

For someone who wasn't at GenCon (damnable work..), what was Sins of the Father about?  My interest is peaked.

Fantasy Craft: Sins of the Fathers
Ages ago the elders of Valespire made a pact with the Court of Blinding Shadows, agreeing to forever keep certain... disagreeable promises in exchange for the continued well-being of the human species. Now the last of those elders’ descendants is dead by his own hand, which is a shame really, because today the debts of his forefathers come due, and there’s not a soul in Valespire who even realizes their eternal peril - not even you.

More than that kinda spoils the event, honestly - at least IMO. Gentry may feel more comfortable skirting that razor's edge.

Actually, that blurb probably gives away what I'd have, but I certainly wouldn't reveal any more. If I did it right, Sins of the Fathers is a Call of Cthulhu-esque murder mystery wrapped in a fantasy setting. If you played it at GenCon and think I didn't do it right, please PM me and tell me why.  Smiley

Andd yes, it's an HP I bought from Staples. So it's not just a warranty problem, it's a THIRD PARTY warranty problem, with (if I understand the clerks properly) has some fourth party drama mixed in. On the plus side, I *might* just get a whole new computer out of it, and I'm hopeful. But at this stage it's been three weeks and I just want something that works.
