Well played sir, well played, but might I offer a riposte?

I think my brain just broke.

Anyways, it wasn't just America making memorable television in the pre-90's. Check out these offerings from across the pond:

Blackadder (Intro and Outro)
Blackadder II (Intro and Outro)
Backadder the Third (In and Out)
Blackadder Goes Forth (You get the idea)

Yes, that's Doctor House you see in the later series Wink

Some more Hugh: Jeeves and Wooster (also starring Stephen Fry), A Bit of Fry and Laurie

Another classic show: The Young Ones

Enjoy!

I love Blackadder. I've been watching the episode they have on youtube for awhile now. Did you know there is a millineum episode on you tube.

Booyah!

It would almost be criminal to include any show by Sid and Marty Kroft in a TV show standoff. Immediately one of those shows would constitute as: Cheesy and trump any other show. It would be like have a fictional spy contest and not use James Bond.

I completely forgot about the kid falling into the giant hat.

I also noticed that for "Land of the Lost" the show used bluegrass music for the intro.

It made me remember another show that came on before or after "Land of the Lost" that was a science fiction show. The only thing I could recall is that the doors opened when you place your hand over a black panel and a red diamond would light up.

More cheese (that's not Sid and Marty Kroft)
Great Space Coaster

A show I had recently discovered from Gerry Anderson: UFO

One of the best comedies ever made (IMO): Bosom Buddies with one Billy Joel's best songs too.

Shows that were just a little ahead of their time:

The Flash
Birds of Prey rwrrr!

I couldn't find an intro, but another victim to why vampire shows fail to live past one season (pun intended).
Kindred

Shows with little or no redeeming qualities, but they were fun to watch:
Cleopatra 2525
Jack of All Trades
Godzilla
Beauty and the Beast - I never watched this one, but it did have Ron Perlman and Linda Hamilton

One of the defining shows of my childhood: The Wind in the Willows (The claymation series, not the Terry Jones movie)

SeaQuest DSV (Ahh, the memories)

A few more goodies:

There was Crimetime After Primetime

Forever Knight

Silk Stalkings

Dark Justice

Sweating Bullets which, apparently, also went by Tropical Heat

and while coming up with those I came across this one:

Raven

and, of course, there was

Highlander, the Series

and its spinoff

Highlander, the Raven

That show was banned in my house, along with "Three's Company". So, I snuck a peak at every episode I could.

Now, I really don't ban that many shows from my kids, aside from the ones that use a lot of language.

I have all 8 episodes on DVD actually. It was a good mid-season replacement show but the guy who played Prince Julian was killed in a motorcycle accident during hiatus. Fans had mounted a letter writing campaign to get to be a regular season show but his death took all the wind out of their sails.

Stacy Haiduk and Jeff Kober nailed their roles in this as Lily Langtree the Toreador Primogen and Daedalus the Nosferatu Primogen.
