I don't know... that's why I made the list. Help me Obi-Wan-ka-knowy, yer our only hope!

The 20 do include the previous arcane casting classes (so no Priest, Paladin, etc.)

There is one more base class than you know of, for a total of 10.

The speculation sparked by this statement seems overwhelming. I hope you guys do that hangman/wheel of fortune thing you've done in the past with the Spellbound classes.

Updated the list in my big post, and added Alchemist and Rune Knight to it because I had a brain fart and forgot they were arcane Expert classes.

So, twenty original classes..  working from the 9/6/4=19 in the Alex-riffic quote above. (Edit: Alex said mystery class is a Base class.)
1. Channeler (Base) - Original SC2 Spellbound to Master Craft System
2. Conjuror (Base) - Original SC2 Spellbound to Master Craft System
3. Enchanter (Base) - Original SC2 Spellbound to Master Craft System
4. Preserver (Base) - Original SC2 Spellbound to Master Craft System
5. Prophet (Base) - Original SC2 Spellbound to Master Craft System
6. Reaper (Base) - Original SC2 Spellbound to Master Craft System
7. Seer (Base) - Original SC2 Spellbound to Master Craft System
8. Trickster (Base) - Original SC2 Spellbound to Master Craft System
9. (Base)
10. Mage (Base) - Same as Fantasy Craft core rules version
11. Infernalist (Expert) - Same as Call to Arms PDF version
12. Mist Dancer (Expert) - Same as Call to Arms PDF version
13. Hexer (Expert)
14.  (Expert)
15. Alchemist (Expert) - Same as Fantasy Craft core rules version
16. Rune Knight (Expert) - Same as Fantasy Craft core rules version
17.  Arcane Savant (Master)
18.  (Master)
19.  (Master)
20.  (Master)

Now if someone with the preview spoilers will throw out a name or two four...

(Edit: updated list with newest info.)
You know what I have to admit I am amazed that they are able to pull this off.  This many different classes in a game that is already super flexible without any noticeable power creep and every class does actually feel different are well done.  Kudos to past out for sure.

It's easy speculation, but I'd think that Archmage would be one of the master classes.

1. Channeler (Base) - Original SC2 Spellbound to Master Craft System
2. Conjuror (Base) - Original SC2 Spellbound to Master Craft System
3. Enchanter (Base) - Original SC2 Spellbound to Master Craft System
4. Preserver (Base) - Original SC2 Spellbound to Master Craft System
5. Prophet (Base) - Original SC2 Spellbound to Master Craft System
6. Reaper (Base) - Original SC2 Spellbound to Master Craft System
7. Seer (Base) - Original SC2 Spellbound to Master Craft System
8. Trickster (Base) - Original SC2 Spellbound to Master Craft System

Just to be clear here - the classes you've heard named in the past have undergone a significant overhaul in being moved (in the case of the Seer and Channeler) or created (everyone else) in the process of building Spellbound. Specialist casters have been put through the wringer by our playtest team and we've incorporated a lot of feedback to make them more flavorful, strongly themed, and fun when put alongside all our other classes including the Mage. It's not quite as simple as filing the serial numbers off...believe me  Undecided

This is good to hear (though in no way out of character for you guys), I can't wait to see the changes to Seer and Channeler (not to mention everything else in this book)

And that's exactly why they'll be so good.

No doubt. I made that "source" notation to trace the class's crafty development, not to insinuate that you were coasting on previous work.

*sigh*  I was wondering if there was going to be a second round of preorders.  The person who told me "don't worry about ordering it I'll pick it up for you for your birthday"  got her days mixed up lol so I'm watching real carefully for the book to go back on order.  Thanks!!!!

Great to hear there's a mostly firm date for the book.  Grin

Too bad I missed the preordering totally.  Undecided

That would be very cool.  Sure in the past most of them are solved by the time I even wake up (curse you time difference!), but still good fun.
