Ok, Pet peeve of mine because it happens a LOT on the net.

Your website says “Free shipping to most locations”
In answer to a question on the forum shipping is “$10 outside the U.S.”

If you say free shipping to most locations you should mean it. Most of the world's land area and most of the world's population centres are NOT in the USA.

I know you are not doing this on purpose but it can come across as misinformation/egotistical.

(Deep breath) Ok I’m done  Embarrassed

I hear that - I've gotten to the point that everytime I read "free to most locations" I automatically edit it to "free to USA" to it in my head.  I have no doubts that it was unintentional on the part of the Crafty guys, who certainly try to be as transparent as they can be with their fanbase.

That said, $95 for both makes this significantly cheaper then my copies of FC, Adventure Companion and SC2.0.  In fact at ~$38 to my door, Spellbound may be the cheapest (new) rollplaying book I've bought in a long while - esp with the Aussie dollar doing well at the moment.

EDIT: Also, my orders are in, despite some minor issues that Alex sorted out for me (cheers for that again).

I'm fairly certain there are parts of the US it isn't free to as well.

Indeed, I live in Alaska and am typically exempted from most 'Super Shipping' deals.

Question for the Crafty Guys. The book says it'll have "20 original classes". Does that include the Mage, Mist Dancer and Infernalist classes in it? Or is it 20 on top of that? Feel free to just smile and ignore me, but I was just suddenly quite curious.

Hmmm...From What I remember someone saying, the Mist Dancer will be part of the 20, so I guess the Infernalist would also be in there.

Cheers! Cheesy

It was mentioned in an earlier thread that pretty much everything from the core book regarding arcane casters (spells, feats, mechanics, etc.) as well as the Mist Dance and Infernalist was being reprinted in Spellbound. That may have changed between then and now though...

They're supposed to be in the book, yes. My question was is it 20 including them, or 20 + them. I'm assuming the 20 includes them, but it was suddenly a question on my mind this evening.

Spellbound covers arcane casters in all their forms - includes are nearly 20 arcane casting classes (9 base classes, 6 expert classes and 4 master classes), a heap of Spellcasting feats, familiars, campaign qualities, new magic subsystems, advice for defining magic in your campaign and a grimoire of nearly 900 spells. What it doesn't contain is magic items (found in Gear for the Ages) or divine casters. This one's all about the wizards Smiley

The book will be self-contained, meaning that some previously printed material is included (such as the rules for spellcasting, the Mage, Infernalist, Mist Dancer, some Spellcasting feats, etc.) so that it is completely self-contained and portable to any other Mastercraft product without requiring you to own Fantasy Craft. People should really appreciate this when they start playing Vow of Silence Smiley

So, twenty original classes..  working from the 9/6/4=19 in the Alex-riffic quote above. (Edit: Alex said mystery class is a Base class.)
1. Channeler (Base) - Original SC2 Spellbound to Master Craft System
2. Conjuror (Base) - Original SC2 Spellbound to Master Craft System
3. Enchanter (Base) - Original SC2 Spellbound to Master Craft System
4. Preserver (Base) - Original SC2 Spellbound to Master Craft System
5. Prophet (Base) - Original SC2 Spellbound to Master Craft System
6. Reaper (Base) - Original SC2 Spellbound to Master Craft System
7. Seer (Base) - Original SC2 Spellbound to Master Craft System
8. Trickster (Base) - Original SC2 Spellbound to Master Craft System
9. (Base)
10. Mage (Base) - Same as Fantasy Craft core rules version
11. Infernalist (Expert) - Same as Call to Arms PDF version
12. Mist Dancer (Expert) - Same as Call to Arms PDF version
13. Hexer (Expert)
14.  (Expert)
15. Alchemist (Expert) - Same as Fantasy Craft core rules version
16. Rune Knight (Expert) - Same as Fantasy Craft core rules version
17.  Arcane Savant (Master)
18.  (Master)
19.  (Master)
20.  (Master)

Now if someone with the preview spoilers will throw out a name or two four...

(Edit: updated list with newest info.)

19 is nearly 20.

Right. And the blurb on the front page says:

Quote
This massive volume contains a grimoire of nearly 900 spells, 20 original classes for career casters, specialists, and dabblers alike;

So I numbered to 20.

The 20 do include the previous arcane casting classes (so no Priest, Paladin, etc.)

There is one more base class than you know of, for a total of 10.
