Soooo... October is coming up and I was wondering if we had a slightly more specific release date? say early, mid or late October?

Also, I asked this up thread but I don't think it was answered: What is the shipping method for the Pre-Orders?

Sorry. We weren't ignoring you - just working out a few things before we said anything. Here's the latest.

Direct orders typically go out via Media Mail but in this case we'll be getting them out to you via Priority (which should save you at least a week, maybe more).

Thanks again for your support.

So natural follow up to the Release Date, is when will the pre-orders ship.  Before or after the release date?

As mentioned in the update, pre-orders will receive everything ahead of the general public, and will also receive some exclusives no one else sees ahead of the wide release.

Not gonna lie, it stings a bit having to wait even longer for Spellbound. On the other hand I've read enough RPG books that aren't half as good as they could've been due to rushing, so all in all I'm happy you'd rather postpone it and get it right than rush it and release a half-assed work.

Agreed, and I for one, appreciate the post talking about it.  Nice to hear, even if I don't like it slipping.  I work in the Software industry so I know, dates don't always happen, so I completely understand.

Still can't wait to see it!   Grin

Oh, and my question was actually about the Mistborn stuff pre-orders, completely missed I was on the spellbound pre-order thread.

First, thanks for understanding guys. We really appreciate it.

Oh, and my question was actually about the Mistborn stuff pre-orders, completely missed I was on the spellbound pre-order thread.

No worries. The Mistborn pre-orders will likely go out Media Mail, just like all standard direct orders.

Note the dates there, however. Only the PDF will be available October 25. The print books will still be at the printers then, and we'll be shipping those to folks as soon as we receive them (in November).

All versions of the book (and associated bundles) will be available for purchase that day though, so if you missed the pre-order you'll be able to buy the version(s) you want on October 25.

I could say I'm disappointed, but honestly I've gotten so good at waiting for stuff that I am completely assuaged by a simple explanation and the fact that Crafty stuff has so far been worth a wait.

Thanks for that. We are disappionted too, but the good news is this won't be happening again. The community's displayed great patience with us, and it's not fair to you (or us) to keep testing it Smiley

Except Spellbound will actually be good...

I'm geared up for it - the preview took a big step towards bringing some gamers I know back into the fold, so if everything else is as amazing it'll be great.

If you pre-ordered Spellbound during GenCon you got a small pdf preview with two Base Classes, an Expert Class, a Master Class and two feats.
