You're welcome to the place - it's too damned hot and there're too many poisonous beasties, mate! I don't know how you aussies manage to survive a walk to the shops without freaking out.

I mean, fucking funnel-webs? They're armour-plated! Even the duck-billed platypus is venomous!

Honestly, I swear you lot stay there as part of some elaborate Fosters-fuelled dare...

Because we did it first. See Canada.

Plus you're not really free of them, what with the Commonwealth and The Queen and all.

No, I'm in Philadelphia PA.

I was referring to the pressures that lead to the Dominion of Canada, which served as the model for Australia and New Zealand.

One of them was that England could not properly hold or control Canada. Another was fear of the US expanding North following the US Civil War.

Now, not being Canadian, this is an outside, superficial opinion. That's to be expected though.... Darn mysterious Canadians. I mean, what do we really know about Canada anyway?

Indeed! Have you ever seen it and the UK in the same room?

It's the US's hat, its biggest exports are maple syrup and comedians, and it takes hockey way too seriously.
