Got room for a PbP rookie in this here robot hunt?  While I'm not a "fan" of the series per-se, I am familiar with the mythos enough to be comfortable with it.  Also, I've got a stack of Spycraft 2.0 books (and a HEROes printout) collecting dust over here.  I unfortunately don't have Transmechs, in case that is a criteria.

If you don't have room, I do have some suggestions that could be useful:

Some of the vehicles in HEROes would be great for the future war humans, particularly the combat bike.  The laser weapon in the same "book" would also be fitting to the setting.

Revolving Door quality- At least when the time-traveling craziness starts, and hand wave it as an "alternate timeline traveler" stepping in.  A good example would be the Sarah Conner Chronicles.

Blockbuster quality- It's a movie series originally starring the Ahrnold, of course there's gonna be large kabooms!

And if you plan to run this as combat-heavy, Mercenaries quality-  If the PCs are those that lived in the future, then they would have to have picked up some fighting tricks just to survive.  That or the Spec Ops quality, since using the terrain as an advantage is a series staple.

My basic idea is: I was a medical scientist before the war now I am a medic in the resistance and I feel giult that my work on tissue engineering made the T800 possible.

Looking through the Origins reminds me why people plump for MC over SC (and the way you can see the Origin tech evolve across the release history of the line)

ordinarily i would not pick that particular origin, but seemed like a good fit to the subject.

You know, since we've got a test subject, how hard would it be to work a Gorgon into the mix?

That... sounds ominous.

Aaaanyway, I'm kinda torn at the moment with origins and class.  Either I can be a Cunning Serviceman Pointman, or a Daring Infantryman (or Hunter) Intruder/Soldier.  Either way I might take a few Sniper levels down the line.

I know for certain that he is a 30+X year old from Baltimore, Md, his interests will be Sci-Fi movies and American Football, that he carries around a worn MP3 player, and at some point he will be armed with either an M416 (or REC7) with an attached M203PI.

Other than that, I'm still working on it...

Alright, so I've been pondering my Scout.  I guess the idea that I sort of have in my head is a urban combat expert.  Maybe someone who survived Judgement day. ( not sure if that is possible without him being older then the hills)

I was thinking so far.   _____  Spec-Ops Scout/Counter-Terrorist. (once high enough).

Looking for ideas on a Talent or something I may have missed.  I'm only looking through the main book for now, have to see what else I have in PDF.
