For those of you who know us, Girlfriday (or Emma, as she is commonly known in these parts) gave birth to our second son today. Gabriel Arthur Newman was born at 9.52am on Saturday 4th June 2011, and weighed 8 lbs. exactly.

Now if you'll pardon me, I need to put an insane 2 year old to bed, and then spend the rest of the night dying quietly...

He should be getting sleep, but in fits and starts. Tongue By 3mo, he should be getting a 6h stretch of sleep at night. Those first six weeks are rough, but it gets better.

Thanks for the best wishes folks. Luckily our other son is (relatively) cooperative, and my in-laws are stepping up to the plate for once in their lives to help. I'll pass on the messages to her when visiting hours begin.
