I cannot remember who, but someone on these forums had the idea of the 'action of the week'.

Each week/session, (s)he had the adversaries perform one often unused action (such as grapple, feint, trip) every now and then throughout the game. Thus, hopefully, introdcuing these mechanics to the players.

I've done it myself and it worked well.

Cheers! Cheesy

Yeah, it's a great idea, but for the life of me I cannot remember whose idea it was.

Thats a great idea, and I will totally use that after the first session. I (the DM) is noob, none of the players have played FC, my wife has only played 1 long campaign of 3.5, and a few sessions of Pathfinder. The other two is a father who hasent played since the 80s and his son who has never played an non-computer RPG before so I want to make it as simple as possible. We just need to get through our first combat without looking at the book during each persons turn lol. I imagine there will be alot of "ok I want to do this, what do I do?" *open book*

If you can, you'll want to print some/most of the combat chapter out of your pdf. Multiple copies of that floating around make combat much smoother.

I made a separate thread for it, but I was thinking of this thread when I started working on http://www.crafty-games.com/forum/index.php?topic=5018.0

Any word on the official Iconics/Pregens? The Wyrmstone ones provided by Gentry are lvl 3 and I was hoping to possibly find some lvl 1 pregens. I may overwhelm my new players (and at this point half way through stating out a lvl 1 adventure) with lvl 3 characters. Plus Gentry's are rather fleshed out background wise (which is normally a good thing) and I was looking for something generic/bland.

Wow. I apologize these took so long but the Iconics (pre-gens) are now available over on our Downloads page.

Now to go reactivate them over on DriveThru...

Thanks for your patience.

Pat, is there ant chance of seeing pre-gens for the AC and Spellbound base classes at some point?

I cannot speak for the AC just now, but there is... consideration of the latter. Nothing more yet, but it's being discussed.

Anyone who wants to volunteer to help with such a project (which would make it more likely to happen) should drop me a line. We won't be starting it just now but "soon-ish" is a reasonable estimate.

I do believe the Conjuror is a drake.  Great artwork of it in the Spellbound preview.  Smiley

'Tis true, assuming we go forth with a new set of iconics for Spellbound the characters will once again be based on the art, and the Conjuror art is indeed a drake.

Sorry. Pre-orders only.
