I'm with Psion. As I've parsed through some sample Rune Knight builds, Intelligent (Maybe Savvy) Fighters rolling completely in the Mage class give me the most bang for the buck heading into Rune Knight. Of course, your level of Soldier is, as has been said, a requirement, and that's fine. But I'd think REALLY hard before I took a second level of Soldier if I was on the way to Rune Knight.

Yeah, I came to the same conclusion, actually.  Unfortunately the level of Soldier is set in stone, but that will be her only level in that class.  I'm hoping that when Spellbound comes out there will be a cool base class that fits her better, and we should be able to convince the GM to let her switch if that's the case Wink

Any news on Spellbounds ETA?

Any news on Spellbounds ETA?

No date has been confirmed yet, so it's hard to say.

In the meantime, you could show her the Channeler class (if you have the Spycraft 2.0 version). That's a pretty combat-happy spell slinger, though it's more about blowing things up with fireballs than stabbing them with swords. Just be aware that the class may have some changes when it appears in Spellbound, but that's only to be expected with a change of edition.
