Hey guys

I'm planning to run a demo of FantasyCraft tonight at a recently opened game store in my area and I'd like to have some pregens for people to use. I have some of those PDF Iconic characters, but I noticed the versions I have are for the pre-errata First Printing. While it'd probably only take me a second to quickly get them corrected for the Second Printing, is there a quick link to updated versions that'll spare me the work? I'm lazy pressed for time.

Thanks!

We have an updated set this close to done. As it happens, it was one of the things on my agenda to knock out today, though I'm not sure if it'll happen. Wish I had a more specific timeline for you, but with a number of immobile items on my agenda this is one that has to float a bit.

I can step in temporarily and provide you with some/most/all of the Wyrmstone iconic characters. They're level 3, one for each base class (including Martial Artist), and errata-compliant, though a couple of them use non-standard species.

PM me if you're interested and maybe we can chat on skype or something.

As an example of how this goes, I didn't get to my stated objective today until 2 hours ago. Until then it was nothing but madness here on the boards and putting out fires elsewhere. Folks sometimes ask why books can't be pinned down with clarity more than a few weeks out? This is why. Just sayin'.

To the topic of the thread, I didn't even get close to the iconics today, which makes me sad, as a couple demoers were looking for them this weekend. So it goes. I'll do my best to get to them tomorrow but I expect that with the pressing items on my desk as of tonight's conference call they'll ultimately slip into next week.

Oh? I spent my afternoon gaming with adoring fans, declining requests from video game companies eager to tap my genius, scribbling out a new class in 5 minutes of inspiration, nibbling on bon-bons while hot girls in glasses massaged my feet with d20 die rollers, and taking a nap on a California King stuffed with money.

Granted, it was all pocket change, but still!

Forget the hot chicks.. (I'm married, I like breathing..)... he spent a weekday afternoon gaming!  If that's not Chuck Sheen Warlock-class winning.. I don't know what is.

So, the demo went fine - but I made a dumb move in suggesting we try making our own PCs instead of using the first printing pregens. We agreed we shoulda just used them, errata or no, cause making characters with new players and one copy of the book was less than awesome. The guy who joined us late used one of the iconics as is and had no problems...

I'll write a more in depth report for you guys later.

The Hand's character sheet says his Tenacious Spirit grants +2 Vitality/level, while the book says +1. Since he has the correct total (30 Vitality) I think this is a typo.

The cavalier similarly has Crunch! listed as +2 damage.

Raelia's improved stability says she is treated a Large creature. That should be huge.

Book's right.

Cool. I expected to have to make some tweaks to these after they went out, so it's no biggie.

I'll give it a couple weeks for feedback and get everything fixed in one pass, so if anyone else notices anything feel free to speak up.

I noticed that weapons with the finesse quality aren't using the characters higher dex mods for damage.

They should be. Can you point to some examples?

They should be. Can you point to some examples?

The hand (Sabre & "Retribution")
Ezraimei (Stiletto & Sap)
Hamlin Hightower (Dagger)

In all cases, the attack bonus is too high and the damage is too low (except Retribution, where the attack bonus is also too low - it does not include the bonus for the forte).

I'll take a look at them when I have time (which won't be until after the Mistborn release).
