Traceur
You are a practitioner of Parkour, the physical discipline of training to overcome any obstacle within one's path by adapting one's movements to the environment. If female, you are instead known as a traceuse.
  • Bonus Feat: Mobility Basics.
  • Attribute Training: The lower of your Strength or Dexterity increases by 1 (your choice in the case of a tie). This bonus is applied after any attribute modifiers from your Species or Talent.
  • Natural Alertness: You gain 1 rank in Notice and a +1 morale bonus to all Notice checks. Apply this bonus rank before spending skill points.
  • Paired Skills: Each time you gain 1 or more ranks in the Resolve skill, you also gain an equal number of ranks in the Acrobatics skill. This may not increase your Acrobatics skill beyond its maximum rank.
  • Push it to the Limit: You take exactly 1 point per die when suffering subdual damage from any Athletics/Push Limit check (no roll is required).
  • Trackless Step: The DC of Survival/Tracking checks to follow your trail is increased by 10.

New tools, new approach. The Natural X tools helped nail the discipline's focus on situational awareness

I would consider replacing Resolve with Athletics or even Notice (mmm, evil combo) in the paired skill.

You're throwing yourself off tall buildings at high velocity with no safety net: that's a good Resolve check right there. RAW, Athletics doesn't really have a lot to do with Parkour outside of the Push Limit check and there's already something in the specialty that ensures you're taking minimal damage from that.

Aaaah, Catfall makes a lot of sense here. Also, Parkour also involves some fast climbing ... so something in that area would not look bad at all. Smiley

Again, I have to disagree -- most of the discipline's techniques for ascent are simply jumps and reposition actions

I have to agree - whilst climbing is something they will normally be good at - it's not really an iconic ability.

Heh. That seems like a Will save to me - I had always hoped to make questions of fear into Will saves, and questions of focus into Resolve checks. Alas.
