Ok, on further examination, I think I'm going to swap Natural Elegance for Iron Gut, since outsiders don't gain immunity natively. EDIT: On further, further examination, Iron Gut seems to be more of a Talent/Species thing, and Contagion Sense is a 2 pointer. Will have to ponder more.

The sorcerer pays 2 points for "Any 1 Species feat". I'd argue that a specific Level 1 only feat should be AT LEAST 1.5, if not 2.

According to the Wiki, it's 2, so that's what I used.

Bonus Feat: Angelic Heritage [2]
Celebrated: Your Legend rises by 2 [2]
Charming: Once per session, you may improve the disposition of one non-adversary NPC by 5 [1]
Natural Elegance: Your Appearance bonus increases by 1 [1]
Free Hint: Once per session, you may request a free hint from the GM. If he refuses, you gain one Action Die [1]

With the exception of the feat, this is exactly what the Blooded talent looked like for my Birthright game.

So, uh, you probably wouldn't use this Specialty in your campaign? A Blooded Favored Soul would be quite something. Smiley

Doh!  Sorry, I used the wrong terminology.  That's what I get for posting when I am in a hurry.  I didn't proofread it like I usually do.

I used the wrong terminology.  It was a Specialty called Scion.  I had started with it being a Talent called Blooded, but I needed it to be available to other races besides human, so I renamed it, tweaked it, and made it a Specialty.

FAVORED SOUL

Nicley done in the spirit of converting a D&D 20 level core class into a Specialty. That could easily have seen print in FC and is a fine addition to the ranks of Specialties that have taken their inspiraton from that pool.

Been a while since I've prowled through my copy of the Mini's handbook, but I recognized the class straight off. Given the free hand with which I'll let players gain winged flight, it was surprising to see an Official D&D core class finally do so.

What did you use for the bonus feat for Scion?

Bill:

What did you use for the bonus feat for Scion?

It wasn't a standard feat, but rather one designed specifically for Birthright.  It was supposed to give out certain supernatural abilities based on which god's blood was strongest within the individual.

Sounds like a good approach to the source material Smiley.

I could see it also adding more effect or unlocking the rest of the feat chain (or both) based on Renown ranks.

Anything you care to share?

I never really got it working.

Basically, the feat gave the player 3 points to spend on Blood Abilities.  The Blood abilities were then separated into Minor (1 Point), Major (2 Point) and Greater (3 point) abilities.  Each bloodline could choose from a specific list of abilities, which was straight from the original setting.  Major abilities should then be comparable to feats in power.

Then I hit the brick wall of writer's block when I tried to convert the abilities to Fantasy Craft, so I set it aside and never got back to it.

Huh. Sounds interesting Smiley.

My instant reaction is maybe the feat could be two-tiered. First feat gives you a choice of 3 A or an A and a B. Second feat gives you a C. Just to simplify the lists for each bloodline. Been a while since I've had my Birthright books at hand, so I don't remember all the stuff that you could get. I do rember it being grouped by god though.
