Saddam did get a fair trial before he was justly hanged.

Corrected that for you...  Wink

I doubt the guy could've got an impartial trial anywhere on the planet.
And IIRC there were some legal issues with the execution, so to be on the safe side one should probably replace "justly" with "deservedly". Tongue

Just and fair are different  things, but as much justice and fairness as can be had in the Middle East, Saddam got it.  The list of people who don't know he was guilty is a null set.

It's not like we didn't know for six years by now it was all a lie. It's just another piece of the puzzle. But thanks for the link, RusVal, very interesting article.

It's a shame we ultimately hanged the guy, though. Not because I don't believe in death penalty but in his specific case, we could have spent years interrogating him to get vital informations on his country, his allies, etc. Bread and circuses ...
